"Why don't you run now?" Lowe mocked, crouching down next to him.

Nicole's mind was alert, but her body was unresponsive. The fall had been serious, leaving her completely numb.

With a thud, Lowe landed a punch on Nicole's abdomen.

Lowe paused, his finger running down Nicole's arm before collecting a drop of her blood and tasting it. Then he smiled, apparently pleased.

He commented on the sweetness of Nicole's blood.

Lowe's hand moved from his arm to his chest, slowly mouthing, "I'm going to savor this."

As he spoke, Nicole felt him slowly unzip her leather jacket. The skin beneath his collarbone was exposed and the document he had fought so hard for was taken away from him. Panic filled his thoughts. No, no, no!

In desperation, Nicole raised her head and bit Lowe's hand hard.

"Oh!" Lowe howled in pain.

Reacting quickly, he grabbed Nicole's head and slammed it into the ground.

The impact caused a jolt of pain in Nicole's head, which she saw blurred.

Lowe, struggling to remove his hand, sat nursing his wound, his face twisted with agony.
