Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook -
Chapter 579
? ? ? ? ?
One of the bodyguards left, while the other stayed behind, keeping a close eye on Nicole.
Nicole sensed that Lowe was looking for an opportunity to turn the tables. He ordered: "He has to go too."
Trying to ease the tension, Lowe playfully raised his hand. "What's the matter? Are you afraid?
But Nicole quickly grabbed his hand, pushing her knee into his neck, the tip of the dagger dangerously close to his artery.
Lowe howled in pain: “Stop! It hurts me…".
Nicole's expression was cold as she looked at the bodyguard.
"Do you plan to try something?"
Lowe's attempt to contact his bodyguard ended in failure.
Neither the bodyguard nor Lowe dared to move.
Pinned against the couch, Lowe shouted at the bodyguard, "Get out!"
The bodyguard left quickly.
Nicole kept Lowe pinned, with her knee on his neck against the couch, for fifteen minutes before releasing him.
Lowe, exhausted, lay sprawled on the couch. He was nothing more than a spoiled playboy, weakened by a life of extravagance. His ability to intimidate depended entirely on the expert bodyguards his father provided him.
Gasping, Lowe wheezed. "Stop it, I'm exhausted." His neck felt like it had broken, each jolt sending bolts of agony through him, keeping him contorted. Who the hell was this wild woman?
A knock interrupted the tense atmosphere.
Nicole kept her dagger pointed at Lowe and said with authority, "Come in!"
The bodyguard who had left earlier came back in, holding a brown file envelope.
"Leave it here and go," Nicole told him.
The bodyguard looked at Lowe for order, who dismissed him angrily.
"Get out, you're no help!"
Lowe was frustrated that his bodyguards couldn't handle Nicole, leaving him in this bind. He hoped Nicole would just take the documents and leave.
Nicole took the envelope from the file. Seeing the handwriting he recognized dimmed the light in his eyes, darkening them.
Tears fell like broken glass. He murmured silently: "Dad..." It was as if an immense weight weighed on his chest, causing him deep sorrow.
His helmet hid his face, hiding his vulnerability from Lowe's view.
