Judd had cleaned the house the day before, even changing all the bedding and kitchen utensils.

The woman who cared for Austin expressed her deep gratitude to Raegan. Before he worked as a kitchen assistant for the Lawrence family, his life was hard. Her husband and only son had died in a car accident abroad.

The woman traveled abroad to deal with the situation and collapsed from exhaustion which led to her being hospitalized. There he met Nicole.

When Nicole heard the woman's story, she asked her to take care of newborn Austin.

This arrangement continued for years, and the woman always treated Austin as if he were her own son.

Raegan arranged maids for the woman and recruited more reliable bodyguards for Austin. He also got the woman to talk to Nicole on the phone.

Once everything was ready, Raegan shared the return trip with Judd.

Stefan had to rush due to school commitments.

Inside the car, Raegan prepared the new phone Judd had given her and inserted her SIM card.

As soon as it turned on, Raegan saw several missed calls from a number she recognized, which made her smile. As she had expected, Mitchel cared about her.

But as he checked the messages, his smile slowly disappeared.

The missed calls had occurred before their midnight conversation. Since then, Mitchel had made no attempt to contact her.

Raegan assumed Mitchel would be busy, knowing there were days when she herself was too busy to look at the phone.

He decided to leave her a message. "I'm back."

After sending it off, Raegan asked Judd to make a stop at the produce market. I wanted to cook the dinner I hadn't made last night, and I planned to do it tonight.

After spending about an hour at the grocery store, Raegan had everything she needed.

Back at home, she didn't let the kitchen staff help her. She took care of everything herself, carefully washing and preparing the food.

When he finished, Raegan picked up the phone again. There was no message waiting for her.

A wave of disappointment washed over Raegan. It seemed that Mitchel was overworked.

She thought about calling him, but was worried that he was meeting.

Instead, he decided to call Matteo.

Matteo answered immediately. "Ms. Foster, how can I help you?

“Matteo, is Mitchell busy?”

«Yes, Mr. Dixon is in a meeting right now. "I can convey any message to you."

"Just tell him not to miss dinner at my house tonight."

Matteo looked into the office and saw Mitchel preparing to leave.

He hesitated, then said, "Miss Foster, Mr. Dixon may be busy with work until very late."

Raegan didn't take the hint in Matteo's voice and just said, "Okay. "I can wait for you."

Suddenly, Janey laughed on the line.

Raegan quickly added: “Matteo, keep doing your job. "I won't entertain you anymore."

After hanging up, Matteo hurried to catch up with Mitchel, out of breath. "Lady…."

Seeing Mitchel's stern look, Matteo quickly corrected, "Miss Foster reminded you to remember to have dinner at her house tonight."

Mitchel, without showing any emotion, continued on his way. It wasn't until he stepped into the elevator that he allowed his emotions to come out.

Raegan had invited him to dinner, probably to return the favor.

How ridiculous it was that he felt happy about her invitation. It was stupid of him, really.

In the kitchen.

Janey came bounding in. Noticing her mother busy cooking, she used her most adorable voice and asked, “Mommy, what are you doing?”
