Raegan's attractiveness was otherworldly, her beauty a blatant contradiction to her grim reality. But when faced with the choice between immediate satisfaction and the allure of future luxuries, the man knew which was the best option. “Transfer it now,” he ordered.

Raegan, tears streaming down her face, bargained, "You'll have to free my hands so I can make the transfer."

The man pressed the knife lightly against Raegan's neck, drawing a small drop of blood as a dire warning. "Any trick and you're done for!"

Raegan responded quietly. «I wouldn't dare. I promise you".

Unconvinced by her plea, the man snatched Raegan's phone and demanded the password.

Raegan was caught off guard by the man's clever move to transfer the money to her himself.

He gave her the password, but as soon as his phone unlocked, it vibrated with an incoming call.

It was Mitchel.

However, Raegan had not saved her contact, so it appeared as an anonymous string of numbers.

The man, nervous, tried to reject the call.

Raegan protested, "Don't hang up!"

The man pressed the knife a little harder against her, distrust in his eyes. "Why not?"

«He is the driver of the taxi that I had booked online. If you end the call, you will automatically notify the police.

The man was skeptical. "Are you trying to trick me?"

Raegan insisted: “I wouldn't dare! If you have doubts, check it in the application. “I ordered a ride, and it includes an emergency alert feature.”

Although the man had never personally booked a taxi online due to his profession in shady business, he was familiar with these functions. He knew of someone who had tried to rob a driver and the driver had covertly alerted the police, resulting in an immediate arrest before the money was touched.

Looking at the phone number, now suspicious due to its unusual sequence of eights, the man challenged Raegan again, the knife still threatening his skin. «Why is this supposed driver number all eights? "It's the kind of number that someone would pay millions for."

Raegan quickly responded: "It's not a real number. “Drivers use virtual numbers for their calls, and they often look unusual.”

She looked at him with a mix of fear and urgency in her eyes. «You haven't booked a taxi online before, have you? You could check with your friend if you're not sure.

Raegan was betting that a desperate man like that wouldn't book a taxi online and leave a digital footprint behind. So he took a chance and made up a story.

The man, unwilling to reveal his lack of knowledge, muttered a curse: “Fuck you! Who do you think you're talking down to? "I've used them before."

To calm him down, Raegan offered, "Let me take care of it. "I'll tell him that he doesn't need to take me anymore."

The man, who did not fully trust Raegan, warned her with a slight push of his knife: "Don't even think about doing anything strange!"

Raegan nodded meekly in agreement.

Reluctantly, the man pressed the answer button and put the call on hands-free.

“Hello,” a deep, authoritative voice boomed through the speaker.

Raegan felt a knot in her stomach. He took a quick breath and managed to say, “I'm sorry, sir, but there's been a change of plan. "I don't need a ride, thank you."

After saying those words, Raegan felt her heart race, silently hoping that Mitchel would hear the seriousness in her tone.

A brief pause followed before Mitchel finally asked, “Why don't you go for a walk?”

Raegan felt her heart sink. He hadn't understood her silent plea for help.

The man began to think that Raegan was trying to signal for help and nearly broke the phone in frustration.

Then, Mitchel's voice was heard, slightly annoyed. "If you didn't want to walk around, you should have told me before instead of making me wait."

The man froze, and Raegan said quickly, “I'm so sorry. "I had forgotten."

«Don't even think about negatively affecting my grade. Cancel the reservation yourself. Mitchel said before hanging up the phone, annoyance evident in his tone.

This convinced the man of Raegan's claim, and he relaxed his guard slightly.

The man fumbled with Raegan's phone and hurriedly asked, “Quick! What is the transfer code?

Suddenly, Raegan's phone rang again, showing Mitchel's number.

The man seemed confused. “What is this about now?”

Raegan, thinking on the fly, said, “He's probably telling me to cancel the transfer. If I don’t, you won’t be able to serve your next client.”

The man tried to cancel the trip as Raegan had suggested, but had difficulty doing so.

As Raegan's phone continued to ring, the man's frustration grew.

"What's up with this useless phone!"

Raegan saw her chance. «Let me do it, please. "It needs a fingerprint to work."

The man looked at her, suspicious. "You're not trying to trick me into releasing you, are you?"

“Of course not,” Raegan replied, her voice shaking. «Fingerprint verification is fast. Plus, if I handle the transfer, there's no risk of entering the wrong password."

Raegan's words made sense to the man. Using fingerprint unlock meant there was no chance of Raegan typing in the wrong password.

Watching the man think, Raegan urged, “Look at me. I couldn't pose any threat to you..."

Raegan's shoulders shook and her once vibrant face was now pale with fear.

The man menacingly moved the knife toward Raegan. "Any trick and you will regret it."

Raegan nodded repeatedly.

The man cut the ropes but kept the knife close to Raegan's neck, watching her every move.
