A sudden, sharp sound cut through the silent night. The man ripped Raegan's throat out.

The cold night air touched Raegan's skin, making her shiver.

“Ah!” Raegan screamed, her body weakened by the effects of the drugs, preventing her from raising a hand to stop the man.

"Please forgive me".

Gathering the last of her strength, Raegan tried to back away, tears moistening the blindfold over her eyes.

He managed to see the man in front of him. However, he could not make out her features.

Judging by his build, Raegan was sure it wasn't Mitchel.

The man stood still for a moment as he looked silently at Raegan.

Suddenly he leaned towards her and his scent enveloped her.

A flicker of recognition crossed Raegan's mind, but she couldn't pinpoint it.

Fear instinctively took hold of her and she asked, "What do you want?"

The man's fingertips ran over Raegan's neck, sliding gently down as he removed the pendant she was wearing.

“Is it yours?” His voice had a harsh tone, as if he had been put through a voice-changing device.

Raegan nodded.

«Yes, it is mine. It's not worth much. Please don't take it. “I can give you money instead.”

The pendant had been with Raegan since she was a child. His grandmother took it from him one day, but gave it back to him before she died.

Raegan couldn't bear to lose the pendant as it had sentimental value to her.

The man took a step back, without advancing any further, and stopped.

After a few minutes, he said quietly, "Why are you?"

His voice trembled, heavy with unexpressed emotions.

Raegan was startled as she felt the man approach her again. Fear paralyzed her and she felt unable to flee.

However, the man calmly replaced the pendant. His movements were attentive and tender, to her amazement.

Somehow, she felt that the man was kind to her.

An image of someone flashed through Raegan's mind. However, his headache was so intense that he could not concentrate on thinking.

The door slammed shut and the man hurried out, giving her a moment to catch her breath.

But before Raegan could fully recover, another figure entered the room.

Without warning, a brutal blow hit Raegan's neck, plunging her back into unconsciousness.

After what seemed like an eternity, Raegan woke up with a start.

Someone had splashed her with ice water.

Blinking in disorientation, Raegan found herself bound tightly with ropes. His hands were immobilized, but his feet had limited freedom.

The surroundings looked like an abandoned school building full of broken tables and chairs.

Perched atop an elevated structure that appeared to be three stories high, it mirrored the disturbing scene of his previous kidnapping, creating a disturbing déj vu.

Remembering the suffering she had gone through last time, a shiver ran down Raegan's spine.

Standing before Raegan, Tessa looked even more unhinged and twisted, scarred by countless terrors.

"It looks like you slept well!" Tessa's voice, rough and harsh, cut through the air.

Raegan steeled herself and confronted Tessa.

«Tessa, this is the second time you kidnapped me. Is this your way of making a living behind the bar committing crime after crime?

"Crime? How funny! You really have no idea what a real crime is!

With slow, deliberate movements, Tessa removed her hat and mask, revealing a visage that horrified Raegan.

Tessa's face clearly showed her suffering. It was a grotesque mosaic of cuts and festering wounds.

The stench of rotting flesh hung in the air. It was disgusting and nauseating. It was really unbearable.

Approaching, Tessa mockingly asked Raegan, “Did you see it clearly?

I can't go back to the days when I was a decent lady from a wealthy family. What else do I have left to fear in this world?

Raegan's eyes widened and she was speechless. He couldn't understand what Tessa had been through.

Tessa's disfigured face was terrible to see. He was capable of making children cry and inflicting nightmares on adults.

"Do you know why I look like this?"

Raegan managed to free her hands from the rope behind her back and asked, "Why?"

«It's all thanks to Mitchel! He launched an intense and relentless persecution against me. While the police were on my trail, he lent a hand, blocking all possible escape routes. Desperate and penniless, I sought refuge with an elderly fisherman on a remote coastal island...

Memories filled Tessa's mind in an instant.

At first, the fisherman treated her well, giving her food and clean clothes.

But hope soon turned to despair when he discovered the dark truth.

The fisherman held numerous women captive and subjected them to unimaginable torments.

Their sadistic acts had left scars on their bodies. He had also poured salt into his wounds to prevent rot.

When he took Tessa in, the last captive was barely breathing, her legs and body covered in bloody cuts.

The fisherman had calmly put salt on the woman's wound and told her, "By doing this, it won't stink."

Tessa was trapped in that living nightmare and did not dare to resist.

He took care of the fisherman's needs and cooked for him during the day. At night, he suffered brutal abuse, aggravated by the consumption of a mysterious medicine.

The torment continued throughout the night, tormenting Tessa until the fisherman succumbed to a deep sleep in the daytime hours.

Tessa's fragile figure, worn and weathered, showed the scars of her harrowing experience.

One fateful day, when the fisherman embarked on his fishing expeditions, Tessa realized that her time had come.

His body had become something disposable, devoid of any value.

Tessa took advantage of the situation and poured an excessive amount of the medicine he frequently consumed into the fisherman's drink.

The once beneficial medicine became a deadly poison.

The fisherman died violently and Tessa set fire to his house before escaping in his boat.

With the stolen money in hand, he took refuge in a discreet inn, hiding his disfigured face in fear and secrecy.

A few days later, the news reported that the fisherman's boat had caught fire and numerous bodies had been discovered. The police discovered that the fisherman was a murderer.

Days turned into weeks, and Tessa's meager funds dwindled, leaving her in a desperate situation with no means to seek treatment for her injuries.

Then came a surprising turn of events. One day, when he returned to his room, he found a package with money, a phone, and Raegan's address on the bed.

When the phone rang, he answered it, and a mysterious voice on the other end offered him a chance for revenge along with specific instructions.

Finally, the day came when Tessa managed to kidnap Raegan.

Unexpectedly, Raegan was saved from Tessa's clutches when a masked man appeared out of nowhere and successfully took Raegan away.

Tessa failed in her attempt to take down Raegan last time because of those two stupid men she hired.

Unwilling to accept failure again, Tessa set out to end Raegan, mistakenly shifting all her suffering onto Raegan.

While the masked man was distracted, Tessa took the opportunity to kidnap Raegan again and bind her firmly in that ruined building.

This time, Tessa was determined not to repeat her previous mistakes, granting Raegan no chance to escape a miserable end.

As Tessa told her story, Raegan came to the conclusion that Tessa herself was to blame for her fall. He deserved it for all his misdeeds.

Raegan couldn't feel sorry for Tessa.

Tessa had opportunities to escape, as demonstrated by her ability to eliminate the fisherman. However, she chose to endure the brutal and inhuman abuse for fear of being captured by the police after fleeing.

Her composure intact, Raegan calmly asked, “What do you want?”

"What do you want?" Tessa's eyes flashed with malice as she pulled out a sharp dagger.

"I want you and Mitchel to pay the price!"

Raegan's heart skipped a beat as she looked at the gleaming blade.

He composed himself and asked, “Tessa, are you disconnected from reality? Mitchel and I divorced a long time ago. Don't you know?

"That? Did you get divorced? Oblivious to this news, Tessa's surprise was visible on her face.

In an attempt to appeal to Tessa's common sense, Raegan comforted her: "Even if I die, it won't affect Mitchel in the slightest. But if you murder me, you will not be able to escape justice. "The police will continue to pursue you."

Raegan added: "You just want money, right? I can raise the sum for you.

In a harsh, rude tone, Tessa replied, "Do you know what Mitchel said when I asked him for five million dollars for your life?"

Raegan was still struggling to free her hands from the ropes while feigning curiosity.

"What did he say?"
