Chapter 1202:

? ? ? ? ?

“What do I want?” Jarrod smirked, his hand sliding into his jacket. “There are so many things I could do…”

"Monster!" Nicole pushed him back hard, screaming, "You are inhuman!"

Jarrod's eyes grew colder, his grip firmer. “You knew exactly what it was long before.”

Nicole shook her head violently. “I'm not going with you, Jarrod. I'd rather die than go with you. If you want to take me, you'll have to take a dead body.”

Jarrod's smile was faint, unfazed. “Don’t be so sure about that.”

Nicole's eyes widened in terror. “What are you going to do?”

With a smirk, Jarrod asked, “Did he come to you?”

Feeling humiliated and physically dominated, Nicole realized that this time escape was impossible. Roscoe had already narrowly escaped death.

This time, Jarrod seemed determined to leave no one alive.

Determined, Nicole realized that pleading would only provoke Jarrod to be more ruthless. She turned to him, intentionally adopting a calm expression to counter his evil intentions. Wasn't he waiting to see her in distress and pain to justify his abusive actions? She wasn't going to let him get away with this.

Nicole said coldly, “That’s none of your business.”

For Jarrod, his answer almost confirmed his closeness to Roscoe.

He gritted his teeth and his eyes flashed with fury. “Did you enjoy betraying me?”

Nicole laughed. “Jarrod, I have decided to marry him. “My relationship with him is legitimate, not a betrayal.”

Jarrod was momentarily speechless, consumed by rage. After a brief pause, he burst out, “Nicole, what about your heart?” I’ve been kind to you and done everything I could for you, and this is how you repay me, by planning to marry him?”

“Why wouldn’t I?” Nicole replied coldly. “Your kindness? You mean ignoring my feelings, forcing me into your presence, turning me into a woman who can no longer face society? Is that your idea of a commitment? Jarrod, such ‘kindnesses’ are outrageous and, frankly, unbearable.”

Jarrod was furious, but he did not reflect on his own actions. In his view, Nicole was his to control. She had no right to betray him or abandon him.

He sneered, “If you had been obedient, I wouldn't have had to act like that. What else have you done except defy me?”

“Obedient?” Ha!" Nicole let out a mocking laugh.

“Am I a pet you've trained, Jarrod? Why should I be submissive to you? If you were looking for an obedient woman, it wouldn't be hard to find one. You simply haven't won me over. Once I give in, you'd find me dull and boring. In the end, it's always my fault. “You excel at making excuses and are, frankly, despicable.”

Nicole spoke intensely.

Jarrod's face grew even grimmer. He smirked and asked, "I'm despicable and he's not?"

“He respects me, he protects me, he treats me kindly, and he would never hurt me. He is the best man ever. In our relationship, I am the one who is unworthy of him. “He is so genuine, and I am so imperfect,” Nicole said with a slight smile. She and Roscoe had decided to overcome the obstacles together. Jarrod was just another obstacle they would overcome.

She announced, determined: "In my heart, Roscoe is already my husband. If he dies, I will join him. We will wait together in heaven, watching his fall."
