Love In Between
Chapter 27

**No one had ever made me go crazy with love like him. Nor had anyone ever made me do what I wanted to do with him. Everything was new, different, and special. It was a new story.

2 days later: November 21st.

I still feel the sensation of his lips on mine. I feel them still burning and I can feel the way his lips moved over mine the night after our dinner. It’s been two days and it feels to me like it just happened. Instinctively, I bring my fingers to my lips and close my eyes as my mind flashes back to our parting.

Gael: “I’m not going in because if I do I won’t get out of here and that wasn’t our deal.”

Serena: “Then you should stop kissing me like that because both you and I are losing our minds.”

Gael: “I’ve lost it since the day I met you, but you’re right…. My body won’t listen to me anymore if I keep kissing you like this.”

Serena: “And I’m not going to be able to stop myself from grabbing you by the neck and pulling you into my bed…. You better go now.”

Gael: “I’ll leave, but you’ll hear from me every day I’m away. When I come back I want to have an answer from you.”

Serena: “What answer? I didn’t know I was supposed to think of any proposal…”

Gael: “You’ll have to tell me if you would agree to have a relationship with me. I’ll save the question for then, and you’ll be able to make a decision based on facts.”

I go over and over and over that last conversation in my head, and it’s inevitable to feel my whole body alter at the memory of his voice, his skin, his hands, his mouth…

-Hey… Serena, I’m sorry,” Joel interrupts, entering the office and I have to come back to reality.

-It’s okay, tell me. – I lie.

-The client you’ve already scheduled at 11 o’clock is here – he explains and stares at me with the same confused face, that Emanuel gave me when I explained him about my dinner with Gael.

“I’ve been on the move all day in Mexico City, and all I’ve been able to think about is you and your k****s”.

“We’ve been away for eight days now and I feel like I’m dying to see you. Not even the beautiful landscapes of the city of Bogotá are capable of resembling your face.”

I can’t work like this. Who can concentrate on anything when he talks to you like this? I put the camera aside as I apologise to the model and reply.

“I love the idea, although that will definitely make me want to get on the first plane to Madrid to see you. I’ll call you at 6pm from there, okay?”

I keep my mobile in my pocket and try to concentrate on my work, but it’s almost impossible. It takes a lot of effort to do it.

I’ve never tried to get home as fast as I did today, and I’ve never worn my tiny white nightgown alone at six in the evening, but it’s not just any day…

I look in the mirror one more time and smile. I guess she’ll love it.

Six o’clock in the evening on time when my mobile rings through WhatsApp and when I accept the video call her face appears on the screen.

I leave my phone on the bedside table and then take a few steps away so he can watch me – do you like what you see? – I ask him as a challenge and he nods.

-I’m fascinated, you don’t know how much I want to be there with you and ask you the question I want to ask you and then take off that nightdress and lose myself in your skin,” he says and I’ve lost my coherence.

-Is that a yes,” I ask, playing dumb.

-It’s a… F**k, Serena… I swear I’m dying to see you, but… I promised you something else. – He closes his eyes and I can see the effort he’s making to do what’s supposed to be right.

-Gael, I’m the one who’s proposing. – I clarify and he smiles.

-You’re a bad girl,” he jokes and I bite my lips.

-I guess you like that, don’t you?” he asks with great interest and nods.

I like how good-naturedly mean you are to me. – He says and without another word, I reach my fingers to the straps of my nightgown to remove it and let it fall to the floor under his expectant gaze. -You’re going to kill me,” he speaks agitated and smiles.

-Show me how I’m killing you now, I’m very curious…” I say mischievously and he smiles.

-Serena, you fascinate me, I want all this and much more for both of us. When I come back I’ll k**s you so much that you’ll ask me to please stop kissing… but for now…. – He says making me die thanks to the thousands of sensations that run through my body, and now it’s him who moves the camera of his mobile phone letting me see his perfectly worked body.

-You fascinate me too Gael, and I want this and more too…” It’s the only thing I manage to say because words no longer exist before what begins to happen between the two of us in the distance.
