Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1523: This Is Retribution
Juanetta's Internet trolling not only didn't stop, it escalated. Juanetta was terrified to see the nasty curses and insults.
She feared that if the cause of the old man's death was discovered, it would be the end of her.
She could not stand by and do nothing.
Lisa had ordered her to do all this, and she couldn't be the one to take the blame.
So she went to Lisa..
When Lisa saw her, she scolded her, "Nonsense! You're not even capable of doing what you're asked to do! How dare you come to see me!"
I thought everything was going to be fine, but things had gone awry and Paulina had not only survived, but had received sympathy.
She was so angry!
The thought of this drove Lisa crazy and she could only take her anger out on Juanetta.
To her, Juanetta was the one who had not done what she had asked.
At Lisa's anger, Juanetta clenched her hand and spoke in a shaky voice, "I didn't know it was going to be like this."
"How dare you argue!" rebuked Lisa angrily.
Juanetta shut her mouth and didn't dare say anything else.
Lisa looked her up and down, not hiding her contempt, "You're a young girl, you've been around a lot of men, you should have a good head on your shoulders, how come you can't even handle this? Or do you just spread your legs and serve men?"
Lisa's words were especially harsh, and her words were steeped in contempt for Juanetta.
Juanetta's face turned ugly and her hands clenched tightly at her side, her knuckles turning white.
Since she didn't say anything, Lisa rolled her eyes, "If I had known, I shouldn't have found a loser like you who only caters to men!"
Since walking in the door, Lisa had used the word "trash" in almost every sentence, regardless of her feelings.
People on the Internet were insulting her, and Lisa was insulting her too.
Why did she have to suffer so much?
Anger and frustration flooded her, and Juanetta could contain herself no longer and sneered, "Lisa, you made me do it, and if that old man's death is discovered, I'll turn you in!" Lisa looked at her incredulously, "Are you threatening me?".
Juanetta clenched her hands, "Yes, I am threatening you. We're all going to die together."
Lisa was silent for a few seconds and then burst out laughing.
The laughter was harsh.
Juanetta unconsciously took a step back, as Lisa seemed crazy to her.
After a few moments of laughter, Lisa stopped and raised her eyes, her cold stare directed at her, "Where do you get the nerve to threaten me?"
"We're in the same boat, if it doesn't go well for me, it won't go well for you either." Juanetta met his gaze unflinchingly.
Lisa stared at her, eyes fierce.
A shiver ran down her spine and Juanetta suddenly regretted threatening Lisa.
Lisa suddenly smiled, "Juanetta, I admire your courage. But I forgot to tell you that the last person who threatened me is probably no longer alive."
At that moment, Juanetta's face went white and she opened her mouth to say something.
With a look from Lisa, one of her men quickly stepped forward, covered Juanetta's mouth and dragged her into the next room.
Juanetta's face was full of panic, her eyes wide and her legs stomping on the floor.
She tried to break the grip.
But the strength of the two men was disparate, so she couldn't break free and was dragged into the room.
As soon as they released the hand covering her mouth, Juanetta immediately shouted, "Lisa, I know I'm wrong ... Well ..."
Before she could finish her words, she was pinched across the jaw and cold liquid was poured into her mouth.
Juanetta's pupils dilated and fear flashed in her eyes.
It was over.
The other man finally released his grip on her and she scrambled to reach down her throat and try to spit out the liquid that had just been poured. But it wouldn't come out.
"Li...," she opened her mouth to make a sound, but it didn't.
His eyes widened and he tried to open his mouth to speak, but no sound came out.
The next thing she knew, her stomach hurt so much that she covered it and curled up.
It hurt so much.
It was as if someone had kicked him hard in the stomach.
She gasped and tears welled up in her eyes along with the sweat.
Lisa walked in and looked coldly at Juanetta cowering on the floor, a cold smile curving the corners of her mouth. "Since she's a piece of shit, there's no point in keeping her." "Send her home."
With those words, Lisa turned and walked out.
Juanetta passed out from the pain and was loaded and put into a car and taken back to her house.
The next morning, the neighbor went outside and found the front door unlocked.
Feeling strange, she went inside, but as soon as she did, she saw Juanetta lying motionless on the floor.
"A dead man..."
The neighbor screamed and ran outside.
Soon the police and ambulance arrived.
After a medical examination, Juanetta was not dead, she had just passed out.
"How did they find her?" the policeman was taking a statement and questioning the neighbor who had found Juanetta first.
The neighbor watched as the ambulance doctor carried Juanetta to the elevator with some fear on his face. "Is she ... really not dead?".
"No." Replied the policeman.
The neighbor was relieved and then answered the question the policeman had just asked, "I had gone out in the morning and saw that the door to her house had been left open and I thought it was strange, so I went in to take a look. She appeared to me to be lying motionless on the floor and I thought she was dead."
The neighbor's face went white as she recalled the scene she had seen.
"And did you see anyone suspicious?"
"No. She and I usually meet and greet, we don't know each other well at all."
...
Juanetta woke up just after she was taken to the hospital.
Just when the doctors thought she was fine, they realized something was wrong with her.
Her appearance was as healthy as a physically fit person, but her eyes were lax.
The doctor tried calling her name several times without getting a response and went to lift her hand, and found that it had no strength and was limp, as if it had been broken.
"Huh." Juanetta smiled suddenly, drool running down the corners of her mouth.
The doctor frowned; wasn't this the sign of a demented child?
The story of Juanetta's accident quickly went viral and the Internet was filled with comments.
"This is payback, big time!"
"Let her hurt people and let it all come back to haunt her!".
"Suddenly it smells like conspiracy to me. You don't think this was all done secretly by the Leoz Group, do you?".
When one person suggested such a conspiracy theory, it was quickly echoed by others.
Some said that perhaps the Leoz Group had indirectly killed the old man, but was afraid it would get out, so it went straight for Juanetta.
Others said that the police were already involved in the investigation and there was no need for the Leoz Group to do something like that.
