Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1491: What Virus?

Paulina put on clean clothes and drank the coffee with brown sugar and ginger that the assistant brought her, and immediately felt her body warming up. Seeing that her face was rosy, Mark's dangling heart returned to its place.

The weather had turned cold recently and he feared she might catch a cold in the rain.

"Marcos, I'm fine." That was the most Paulina had said in the last few days.

She always felt that Marcos was too nervous about her, that she wasn't really as fragile as they thought she was.

"Is it under control?" asked Marcos.

Paulina nodded and replied, "Almost."

"Ready to go back?"

Paulina lost her smile, "Marcos, I really don't have a problem with that. I'll be back as soon as I have everything sorted out."

"I'll wait for you."

With those words, Marcos walked over to the couch not far away and sat down.

Seeing this, Paulina's face was filled with helplessness, but there was nothing she could do for him but hurry up and finish the job at hand.

I don't know if it was because of his presence that the work on the set accelerated, but in a short time the stage was set up. Paulina had also finished her work.

She approaches Marcos.

Marcos is looking intently at the laptop resting on his lap when his eyes suddenly darken.

He looks up slowly and Paulina's face comes to rest in his eyes.

"Is it over?" Marcos' thin lips parted slightly.

Paulina smiled and nodded, "Yes."

"Then go home."

Marcos promptly closed the computer without a word and stood up.

"Okay, let's go home."

Paulina took him by the arm and together they walked towards the hotel door.

The rain was still falling as they walked out of the hotel.

Paulina looked up at the gray sky and said to herself, "It's been raining for so long, I don't know when it's going to stop." "Let's go." Mark opened the umbrella his assistant had given him and stepped into the rain with his arm around her. The two hurried to the car parked on the side of the road and Marcos reached out and opened the passenger door. Paulina leaned into the car.

After closing the door, Marcos walked around the front of the car and sat in the driver's seat.

It was warm inside, which contrasted with the cooler weather outside.

The sudden difference in temperature caused Paulina to sneeze loudly.

Marcos frowned and reached up to turn on the car heater, then took off his suit jacket and put it on over the top.

Paulina looked at him sideways, helplessly, "It's too much, I'm not cold."

Marcos didn't seem to hear her and started the car on his own.

Paulina laughed helplessly and pulled her jacket down her legs.

Tired, Paulina fell asleep on the way back.

When the car came to a soft stop in front of La familia Leoz, Marcos turned his head and gazed deeply at Paulina's peaceful sleeping face. He couldn't bear to wake her, seeing how soundly she slept.

But he couldn't let her sleep in the car.

So he called softly to her, "Paulina."

Stunned, Paulina heard a familiar voice.

She tried to open her eyes wide, but her eyelids were too heavy and she couldn't open them.

Mark saw her eyelashes fluttering and thought she was going to wake up, but after a few moments, she still didn't.

With a frown, he called out again, "Paulina."

She still wouldn't wake up.

He had no choice but to pull her out of the car.

The rain had stopped and the humid air was cool.

His steps quickened unconsciously.

As he entered the house, Mrs. Gloria saw him carrying someone and hurried to greet her, "What's the matter with Paulina?" "Asleep."

Mrs. Gloria was relieved to hear that.

She had thought something had happened?

Luckily she was just sleeping.

Marcos carried her back to her room and gently placed her on the bed.

Paulina rolled over, still sleeping soundly.

Marcos' eyes filled with tenderness and a loving smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

He placed the comforter over Paulina and bent his head to give her a light kiss on the forehead.

...

"Hot."

Paulina frowned, closed her eyes, her cheeks flushed an unnatural shade of red and her body squirmed restlessly.

She felt as if she was being held over the fire, burning all over.

But after a moment, she felt herself being plunged back into freezing water, the piercing cold invading her bones and making her body shiver with cold. "Cold."

She curled up and hugged her arms tightly around herself.

Mark finished his work and left the study, heading for his room.

He pushed open the door to the room, which was silent.

As he entered, he suddenly heard a small moan in his ear.

He frowned and quickly made his way to the bed, startled by the scene before him.

"Paulina!"

He reached out to touch Paulina, and as soon as his hand touched her forehead, his pupils tensed abruptly. Why was she so hot?

"Paulina, Paulina..." he shouted Paulina's name, but Paulina's eyes were closed and she didn't respond.

He couldn't think too much about it and hurried to grab her and rush out.

Everyone in the house was sleeping and Marcos didn't want to disturb them, so he rushed her downstairs.

Alvaro went downstairs to help Bonita with the water and the man came out of the kitchen just in time to see his brother run past him.

"What's going on here?" he hurried to put down the glass and chased after him.

Marcos pulled Paulina into the car.

"What's wrong, brother?" asked Alvaro in a hurried voice when he saw him about to get into the car.

"Your sister-in-law has a fever."

As soon as Marcos got into the car, he started it immediately.

Alvaro watched the car pull out of the yard, stood thoughtfully and hurriedly turned around to go back inside.

He went upstairs to talk to Bonita about the situation and drove after Marcos.

It was late and there weren't many cars on the road, so Marcos drove the car as fast as he could.

The drive, which had taken over thirty minutes, was reduced to ten.

The car stopped in front of the hospital emergency building and Marcos ran in with the baby in his arms.

Upon examination by the doctor, Paulina had a high fever and it was so severe that her breathing was weakening and even showed a drop in her vital signs. The doctor asked the nurse to give Paulina a fever-reducing injection and then an IV.

But, strangely, the fever did not go away.

Marcos sat on the edge of the bed, holding Paulina's burning hand tightly, his head bowed so he couldn't see what she looked like at the moment.

Alvaro moved closer to him and his eyes rested on Paulina's face, frowning.

It was logical that with a fever, a person's face would be more or less red, why was her face so pale?

The more he thought about it, the more wrong he was, and suddenly a terrible thought flashed through his mind.

"A virus." He blurted out.

Mark heard it and turned his head to look at it, "What virus?".

"It's ...," Alvaro was about to speak when it suddenly occurred to him that he had lost his memory and forgotten what terrible virus his sister-in-law had.

He could only give a brief description of the virus.

As Marcos listened, his sword eyebrows furrowed fiercely, "You mean Paulina has a virus in her body?"

"Yes." Alvaro nodded.

"No, she looks healthy and normal, she doesn't have a virus in her body at all." Marcos was not very convinced.

"Brother, you probably don't know that your sister-in-law regularly takes medication to suppress the virus and keep it at bay."
