Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1446: Could it be Earlene?

The dinner was held at a six-star hotel in J-Town. There was a red carpet and an autograph wall.

The car was parked at one end of the red carpet and Paulina was nervous to see the media on both sides of the red carpet.

"Why didn't you tell me there would be press?" Paulina turned her head to look at Marcos.

Marcos frowned faintly, "I'm not sure."

At first he had thought it would be a normal dinner, but he hadn't expected it to be so prestigious.

Even the press had been invited.

"Let's go back." Marcos said.

He had never liked being interviewed by the media, not to mention the fact that there were so many media outlets around today, and it would certainly be another bunch of news.

"If we're here, why come back?" Paulina took a deep breath and held his hand tightly, "I know you don't like it, but I'm here with you, it's okay."

"I was afraid you wouldn't feel comfortable." Marcos looked at her deeply.

Paulina shook her head, "I won't feel uncomfortable with you around."

"Well then, let's go out."

Marcos was the first to open the door and get out of the car, and as soon as he appeared inside, all the media immediately got excited. Click, click, click!

The sound of pressing the shutter was heard one after another.

Marcos bends down and reaches out his hand towards the car.

Paulina smiles at him, places her hand in his and gets out of the car.

It had been a long time since the couple had been seen together and inevitably attracted the attention of the media.

Paulina took Marcos' arm and walked down the hallway without looking away.

In the upstairs lounge of the hotel, Blythe watched the scene through the floor-to-ceiling window and her grip on the glass tightened so much that her knuckles turned white. A heavy gloom covered her face with delicate makeup.

Paulina!

The person he hated most in his life!

He wanted to come down and strangle her if he could!

"What's the matter?"

Winston, noticing the slightly grim expression on her face, stood up and walked over to her, following her line of sight and seeing nothing wrong.

"What's the matter with you?" Winston repeated the question.

"Nothing." Blythe gathered all her thoughts, dropped the blankets, lifted a hand to tear off the jacket draped over her shoulders and stood up, her eyes on the bedroom door. "Let's go downstairs." The only thing that was making her wrong was Mark and Pauline.

She had to see those two.

A tinge of gloom rose to the back of Winston's eyes, Marcos was still able to easily sway her emotions.

So, Marcos had to be pushed away.

She could only stand by his side with a heart.

The party was ostentatiously and lavishly decorated, and everywhere it was apparent that JR had gone out of his way to be generous and not at all soft.

"This President JR is very fond of Blythe, the honorary daughter." Paulina looked around the room and saw that all the people who had come were rich and famous, all famous people in the celebrity world. "This party is very big, just to show everyone that JR is strong and Blythe is important."

At this point, Marcos lightly said, "After today's party, I'm sure there will be more people who want to work with JR."

Some people who were still on the fence must have moved when they saw today's banquet scene.

"What about you, do you want to work with Blythe?" asked Paulina.

Marcos gave her a sidelong glance, "What do you think?"

"No." Paulina said confidently.

"Why?" Marcos turned and looked at her with interest.

"Because ..." Paulina thought about it, "There's no denying that JR is strong and if they could work with the Leoz Group, it would be a strong partnership. But..."

She suddenly turned her words around, "Blythe offered to work with you before and you didn't tell them yes, so you must have had second thoughts. You're a cautious person and wouldn't change your mind just because of a party." "Do you think I'm right in my analysis?" Paulina looked at him like a schoolboy waiting for praise from his teacher for a good exam.

Marcos smiled faintly, "Correct analysis."

Paulina curved her lips into a happy smile.

Seeing her as a child, Marcos' eyes couldn't help but fill with affection.

When Blythe appeared, the noisy party room fell silent and everyone except the two siblings Marcos and Paulina stared at the beautiful woman walking down the aisle.

"This Blythe is so inhumanly beautiful." muttered Alvaro in a whisper.

Paulina heard him and nodded slightly.

Blythe's face, beautiful yes, but like a fake face, was unnatural and inexplicably creepy.

"The last time I had dinner with her, I saw her up close and it really gave me the creeps." Alvaro couldn't help a shiver as he recalled the situation.

Marcos' brow furrowed slightly and he made an evasive face.

"Marcos, what's wrong with you?" asked Paulina in a whisper.

"I always thought there was something familiar about this Blythe."

At that, Paulina looked at Blythe.

Blythe's magnificent face was full of smiles, nodding at her guests from time to time.

A face that was unfamiliar to her.

But the way she walked, the way she moved her hands, was familiar.

It was like...

A figure flashed through his mind and Paulina blurted out, "Earlene."

Alvaro was a little puzzled by this, "Sister-in-law, why are you rightly mentioning Earlene?".

"No, I was thinking that Blythe and Earlene look a bit alike." Paulina raised her eyebrows and her eyes fixed on Blythe for a moment.

Mark and Alvaro looked at each other, their faces a little stony.

Surprisingly, they both thought Blythe and Earlene looked alike.

That one person felt the resemblance might just be a coincidence.

But three people, not so much.

Earlene was indeed dead, still dead in custody.

There was a live media broadcast on the day of the burial, and how many people saw her go into the ground, so it couldn't be a fake.

"Brother, do you want me to send someone to find out?" asked Alvaro in a whisper.

Marcos nodded.

"Marcos, do you suspect it's related to Earlene?" asked Paulina.

"The nasty looks and sympathetic temperament make it hard not to be suspicious." Marcos turned his head to look at her.

Paulina suddenly remembered when she had disguised herself as the Bartram family and her brow furrowed, "Marcos, do you think she could be Earlene?" "It's possible."

With all the medical advances today, who knows if Earlene faked her death.

Maybe the Bartram family was just putting on a show for the public to see.

With Earlene dead, they would be free of the law and come back with a new identity when the time came.

Thinking about this, Mark couldn't help but smile, "If they put this mind to their work, maybe the Bartram Group would do better than they do now."

Paulina nodded approvingly as she heard him say that, "You're right. Neither Rawlins nor Earlene have their hearts in the right place and the Bartram Group probably won't get very far."
