Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1357: Then you will think of something.
At those words, Earlene froze momentarily, then laughed like a madman, as the cruelty in her eyes deepened.
"He'll never let me go... Heh, you're forgetting, who saved you?"
Rawlins took a deep breath and hit the nail on the head, "Is that saving him, you're just selfishly trying to keep him for yourself." Hearing him say that, Earlene stood up angrily, pointed her nose at him and yelled, "Are you crazy, how dare you speak for him?"
"I'm not speaking for him, I'm just telling the truth." Rawlins tried to persuade, "Earlene, he doesn't love you at all, why are you obsessing?"
"It's not for you to say whether he loves me or not!". Earlene glared at him with a merciless glare and warned him angrily, "If you ever speak for him again, you'll get the hell out of the Bartram family and go back to the orphanage." "Earlene!" reprimanded Grandma Bartram, frowning in disgust, "Even if Rawlins said the wrong thing, he's still your brother, don't let a stranger hurt your feelings for each other."
"Grandma." Earlene sneered, "If he thought I was his sister, he would have helped me. But good for him, he's helping someone else."
"Well, actually, he's not wrong." Grandma Bartram sighed heavily, "There's no way Mark is coming back into the Bartram family, you might as well give up."
"I don't want him!" Earlene's voice rose sharply, "I don't want to give up! I want him, I don't want to live without him."
With that said, Earlene caught a glimpse out of the corner of her eye of the fruit knife on the table, reached out and grabbed it with her hand, lifting it, the tip toward her neck. "Earlene!"
The old woman and Rawlins looked at her in horror.
"Grandma, I love Mark, I ... can't live without Mark!" With that, she nearly stabbed herself in the neck.
Rawlins came over in one swift motion and snapped her wrist, snatching the knife from her fruit.
"Earlene, have you lost your mind? Do you know what you're doing to yourself? Have you ever thought about your grandmother's feelings? Has it occurred to you that she can't handle emotion at her age?" He scolded in a stern voice and black face.
"It's just that I'm crazy!" Earlene jerked her hand away and shouted loudly, "I just want Mark, and you all advise me to give up, you don't understand the pain I feel inside!"
"Earlene ..." the old woman looked at her like that, her heart ached.
Rawlins' mouth curved into a grimace, "Is it worth it for you to do this for one man?"
"It's worth it!"
Earlene stared at him with teary eyes, "It's worth it because I love him."
"But he doesn't love you!" Rawlins got right to the point.
Earlene froze.
"He doesn't love you, he doesn't love you, he doesn't love you, don't you hear me?"
Seeing that Rawlins had also become agitated, Grandma Bartram bellowed, "Shut up, all of you! Do you think I've lived too long?"
Fearing that the old woman would be angry, Rawlins quickly gathered all her emotions and said, "Grandma, we didn't mean that."
Grandma Bartram looked at Earlene, only to see her raise her hand to wipe away her tears and look away, unwilling to look at herself.
"Phew." The old woman sighed, "Rawlins, it's your fault today, even if you didn't bring the man back, to say that about your sister, would make anyone angry." "Grandma, you ..." Rawlins looked at her in disbelief, he didn't expect her to say something like that at all.
"Apologize to your sister now." Grandma Bartram ordered in a stern voice.
She was silent for two seconds and had to apologize in a light voice so as not to anger the old woman. Earlene growled, "I can't afford that."
Rawlins frowned, his lips twitched to say something, but he said nothing.
"For your sister's sake, you must find a way to bring Marcos, whatever you do, you must bring someone."
"Grandmother, there is no way for Marcos to return to the Bartram family."
"Then you will find a way!" The old woman blurted out.
A sense of helplessness overwhelmed Rawlins like a wave in an instant.
He didn't understand why the old woman had to coddle Earlene so much, didn't she know that at this rate, Earlene might be heading for the end of the road? "Grandma, you're the best."
Seeing the old woman earnestly ask Rawlins to bring the man in, Earlene instantly transformed from somber to sunny and reached over to hug the old woman, affectionately pressing her face against hers. The old woman patted her arm with a smile, "If you're happy, Grandma's happy. So don't do anything foolish, okay?".
"I won't do anything foolish, I still want to honor you with Marcos."
At those words, the old woman instantly felt that she had done the right thing, as long as her granddaughter was happy, it was more important than anything else.
...
Fearing that Earlene would not give up, Mr. Juan had arranged for bodyguards to be on twenty-four hour shifts at the old Leoz family home, so that not a fly would enter. However, Mrs. Gloria was still a little uneasy, "Do you think it would be safer if we took Marcos and Paulina out of the country?"
"No place is as safe as home." Mr. Juan shook his head and lost his smile, "Don't be so nervous, Earlene wouldn't dare do it the hard way, give her some time and she'll die." "Really?" Mrs. Gloria's head ached a little, "I think she's practically crazy, she doesn't die that easily, does she?"
"We'll just have to wait. If she still doesn't die, we'll think of something else."
Paulina and Mark came downstairs, saw them standing in the living room talking, walked over and asked nonchalantly with a smile, "Dad, Mom, what are you talking about?" Hearing the voices, Mr. Juan, Mrs. Gloria turned and looked at them with a smile.
"Your father and I were just having a little chat." Mrs. Gloria laughed.
Paulina nodded, "Marcos and I are going to the Institute, Sener says they have been working on a new drug."
"No way!" Ms. Gloria blocked firmly, "You guys can't go out."
Paulina froze for a moment, "Why?"
"It's not safe to leave now, or we can have Sener and the others bring the medication."
Paulina replied, knowing what was bothering Ms. Gloria, and smiled, "Don't worry, Mom, it's just a short walk from home to the Institute, she'll be fine."
"No! You guys have Sener send the medicine."
Paulina and Marcos looked at each other, both looking helpless.
"Okay, I'll get in touch with Sener."
Paulina went to make the call as Marcos was dragged to the couch by Ms. Gloria and sat down.
"Marcos, you guys don't go out these days, ok?". Mrs. Gloria said as she patted him on his quest.
"Don't worry, mom, we won't go out except for special circumstances."
"Don't even go out for special circumstances, let Alvaro do it for you if you need anything." Marcos nodded, "Fine."
