Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1354: She Could Be Really Crazy
The trip was uneventful and they arrived at the airport without any problems.
It was so smooth that Paulina was a little surprised.
After passing through security, her tense nerves finally relaxed and she turned her head to look around the airport lobby.
"What are you looking at?" asked Marcos beside her suspiciously as he followed her line of sight.
Paulina looked away and smiled at him, "Nothing. Come on."
Through the VIP lane, they boarded the plane.
"Grand Prince, there are only our people in first class. No one else can enter, except our people and the flight attendants. And if it's business or economy class, I've arranged for someone to know as soon as there's a breeze." Once Mark and the others were seated, Eliazar came over and briefed them on their preparations.
"Well, get some rest, it's going to be a rough trip." Marcos said.
"It's not hard work."
Eliazar nodded and turned to go back to his seat and take his seat.
Surprisingly, nothing happened on the way.
The plane landed safely at J-town International Airport and Marcos and his went out to see Alvaro, who had come to pick them up. "Brother!"
Alvaro immediately ran to them, excited to see them leave.
"Why did you come to pick us up?" asked Paulina, quizzical.
"It's a special situation and I don't feel comfortable with the others." answered Alvaro.
Then he looked at Eliazar, "Well done this time."
Eliazar nodded and said nothing.
"Little uncle." Esteban and Sweety shouted in unison.
Hearing their voices, Alvaro looked at them with a bigger smile on his face. "Grandma and Grandpa have missed you guys."
"We missed our grandparents too." Esteban said.
"Then let's hurry home." Alvaro looked at Marcos and Paulina and said, "Get in the car, Dad and Mom are waiting for you."
The car drove smoothly down the road and Paulina turned her head to look out the window at the familiar scene on the street and sighed softly.
She had originally wanted to take Marcos to France for a drive, to give him a break and maybe help him recover some memories. Incredibly, the plan had just been ruined.
If it really was Earlene who had done the deed, he thought the woman might be crazy.
She really would do anything to get Marcos, and she wasn't afraid of retaliation.
Marcos saw her looking quietly out the window, wondering what she might be thinking, and asked quietly, "What's on your mind?" Paulina withdrew her thoughts, turned her head to look at him, and answered truthfully, "I'm thinking about Earlene."
"Thinking about what she's doing?" At the mention of Earlene, Mark's brow closed into a frown and his expression was cold.
"I was thinking about how crazy she really was, nothing like the Earlene I knew then."
At the time, he had sincerely considered Earlene a friend, he just hadn't expected that sincerity to be trampled on in the end.
If I had known so much was going to happen, I would have preferred not to have met Earlene.
"It's all in the past, don't think about it." Marcos slipped his arm around her shoulders.
Paulina leaned her head on his shoulder, "Well, it's all in the past."
The car came to a soft stop in the yard and Mr. Juan, Mrs. Gloria and Bonita, who had been waiting at the gate for a long time, were glad of their return. "Grandpa, Grandma."
Esteban and Sweety were the first to jump out of the car and ran to them.
"Sweetheart, you're finally back, Grandma missed you." Mrs. Gloria squatted down and hugged them, bursting with joy.
"Dad, Mom, we're back."
Paulina and Marcos walked together toward Mr. Juan and Mrs. Gloria.
"It's good to be back," Mr. Juan said, looking at them sweetly.
"Are you all right?" Mrs. Gloria asked with concern as she looked them up and down.
Paulina shook her head, "Yes."
Mrs. Gloria was relieved, "Alvaro scared the hell out of me when he told us you guys were in danger in France."
Had Alvaro told the second oldest what had happened?
Paulina looked at Alvaro, who rubbed his nose and smiled sheepishly, "A slip of the tongue."
It had not been her intention to tell her parents, she had simply overheard her mother when she was talking to Bonita.
Once Ms. Gloria heard this, she sensed something wasn't right, "Paulina, if I hadn't heard it myself, were they still planning to keep it from me?"
Paulina and Marcos looked at each other and replied, "Dad, Mom, we just don't want you to worry."
"I know you don't want us to worry, but we are a family and it's only fair that we don't have to hide anything." Mrs. Gloria sighed.
"Mom, don't be upset, we won't hide anything from you and Dad in the future." Paulina stepped forward and took his hand in hers.
Ms. Gloria patted her hand and said softly, "Mommy is not angry, Mommy is heartbroken and doesn't want you to take on too much on your own." Paulina's heart was touched and her eyes reddened, she opened her arms and hugged Mrs. Gloria, "Mom, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have kept this from you." "It's okay, it's okay." Ms. Gloria gently patted her back.
Beside her, Bonita wiped the corner of her eye sideways and smiled, "Well, let's not stand outside in the wind, let's talk about what's going on inside."
At that, Paulina let go of Mrs. Gloria and raised a smile, "Bonita is right, let's go inside."
The family went inside, Esteban and Sweety were led upstairs by Bonita to see their brother while the others went to sit in the living room.
Ms. Gloria pulled Paulina to sit next to her and took her by the hand, tilting her head toward Marcos, "None of you can wander back in until this is investigated, okay?" Marcos nodded, "Yes."
Home this time, he had planned to stay in the country until the investigation was clear.
"Do you know who he is?" asked Mr. Juan.
"Not yet." Alvaro replied, "Eliazar is still investigating. This is a special case, the other party is hiding in the shadows, paying mercenaries and coming after his sister-in-law, so it won't be so easy to investigate for a while." "It can't be Earlene, can it?" Ms. Gloria thought about it and could only think of Earlene.
After all, she had never made up her mind about Marcos.
"Mom, I guess it's her too." Paulina looked at the others and continued, "Right now I can't think of anyone but Earlene."
Bergerian had his own people, there was no need to spend that money.
There really was no one but Earlene.
Mr. Juan sulked, thoughtful for a moment, then spoke slowly, "Alvaro, we're going to Kyoto tomorrow."
"Huh?" Alvaro froze, not understanding what his father meant.
Marcos frowned, "Dad, are you planning to go with the Bartram family?"
At his question, both Mrs. Gloria and Paulina turned their heads to look at Mr. Juan.
Only to hear Mr. Juan say, "Yes I am going to go see the Bartram family, I felt I had to talk things over with Grandma Bartram, otherwise they really think The Leoz family is a bully."
"Yes, I agree with your father." Mrs. Gloria was quick to agree with him, "We shouldn't have let it go like that the day Earlene came to the house and made a scene."
"Earlene came to the house?" Paulina didn't think Earlene had the nerve to come to the house.
"Well." Mrs. Gloria nodded, "I've never seen anyone with that kind of nerve. She was hiding Marcos and drugging him and we still haven't come for her. Instead, she's making a scene at home and asking for Marcos back." Paulina frowned, "Maybe she really is crazy."
She sounded more than a little sad.
"Indeed, she is crazy and she's sure to do even more terrible things. It's safer for them to stay honestly at home." Ms. Gloria had a moment's reaction.
Paulina lost her smile, "Don't worry, Mom, Marcos and I are not going anywhere, we will stay home, don't worry about us."
Mrs. Gloria looked at her sternly, "How could I bother with you? I am more than happy."
At this comment, everyone laughed.
