Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1347: He only wants her.

After taking care of business, Edgar drove to Edwina's house.

He couldn't wait to tell Edwina that her parents had agreed to their being together.

Edgar held back his excitement and knocked on the door, waiting for the moment when it would open.

But after waiting a while, no one opened the door.

Thinking that Edwina was angry with him, he knocked again.

No one opened the door.

Just as he was about to knock again, the next door opened and out stepped an older woman with gray hair, who looked him up and down with a questioning look and asked, "Have you come to see Edwina?" Edgar nodded, "Yes."

"They've moved and don't live here anymore."

"What?" Edgar was stunned, "They moved?"

"Yes, they moved out yesterday."

With that, the mother-in-law was about to close the door.

Edgar was quick to ask, "Do you know where they moved to?"

"I don't know."

Said the mother-in-law and closed the door.

A bitter smile tugged at the corners of Edgar's mouth; she had moved.

And without telling him.

"Edgar, let's break up."

With her words echoing in his ears that night, and then looking toward the closed door of the house, it was as if a piece of Edgar's heart was empty. How could he be so cruel?

To leave without saying a word?

He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and opened them again, his eyes full of determination, no matter where she went, he would get her back. In this life, all he wanted was her.

...

"Mr. Edwards, thank you for helping me find a house."

Edwina tidied her room and went out, thanking Edwards who was playing chess with Bonnie.

Edwards looked up with a soft smile, "You're welcome."

If it hadn't been for his help, the house wouldn't have been found so quickly.

Edwina thought a moment and said, "Why don't you stay tonight and have dinner with us."

"Sure." Edwards readily agreed.

"Then you guys go on ahead, I'll go do the dishes."

Edwina smiled and turned toward the kitchen.

Bonnie looked back at her and asked Edwards in a whisper, "Uncle Boone, can I borrow your phone?" Edwards raised an eyebrow, "Yes, you can. But you don't want to call your Uncle Edgar, do you?".

Bonnie nodded frankly, "Well, I just want to call Uncle Edgar."

"No." Edwards said, "That would be a problem if your mother found out."

"No, as long as you don't say anything, how is my mother going to find out?"

"Just lend it to me." Bonnie pleaded.

Edwards sighed and intoned, "Bonnie, since your mom has decided to separate, this is a matter for them as adults." "But..." Bonnie absolutely did not want Edwina and Edgar to break up.

In fact, she especially wanted Edgar to be her father.

"Good boy. Don't give your mom a hard time." Edwards patted her head.

Bonnie dropped her shoulders in defeat, "Okay."

She was trying to contact Edgar and tell him where they lived now.

Edwards was secretly relieved and, to be honest, he didn't want Weed to get any more involved with Edgar. Not so much for Elva's sake.

Rather, it was for her selfishness.

He didn't know at what point his feelings for Edwina had changed, and had become less pure.

He couldn't tell if he liked her or not.

He just wanted to take good care of her and Bonnie.

Perhaps he was projecting onto Edwina the guilt he felt for Constance.

He couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness in his heart at the thought of Constance.

She dropped the pieces in her hand and stood up, "I'm going to see what your mother is going to cook."

Bonnie's eyes moved with him, watching him enter the kitchen, thoughtful for a moment before getting up and running into the bedroom.

He ran to the nightstand, looked back toward the door, opened the drawer and pulled out the phone he kept inside.

After a moment's hesitation, he turned it on.

As soon as he did, the phone rang so loudly that he almost dropped it.

Without bothering to see who was calling, she picked it up.

"Edwina, where are you?"

A familiar voice came from the other end of the phone and Bonnie's face lit up with joy as she rushed out, "Uncle Edgar, it's Bonnie." "Bonnie, where are you now?"

"We're at...."

Before Bonnie could finish the sentence, Edwina rushed in, grabbed the phone and promptly hung it up.

"Mom." As soon as Bonnie saw her, she immediately lowered her head and folded her hands uneasily in front of her.

"Bonnie Leung, what are you doing?" asked Edwina sternly.

"I ..."

"Did I tell you no phone calls, where did you get my words from?"

Edwina was really angry and her whole face was very unpleasant.

She had walked away and even turned off her cell phone, to cut off her relationship with Edgar for good.

But what about Bonnie?

How dare she contact Edgar on the sly?

It was obvious he was her son, but he had his arm out of the way.

"Mom, I'm sorry." Bonnie whispered an apology.

Edwards came in and gently advised her, "Well, don't be angry, the boy got confused for a moment, don't blame him."

Edwina looked at Bonnie with her head bowed and sighed, "Let's forget about it for today. Don't contact your Uncle Edgar secretly from now on, okay?" "Yes." replied Bonnie quietly.

Without another word, Edwina walked away, leaving Edwards and Bonnie behind.

"Do you miss your Uncle Edgar that much?" asked Edwards.

"Mmm." Bonnie nodded.

"Even if you wanted to, you couldn't do anything to upset your mother."

"But she's sad to part with Uncle Edgar, too." Bonnie looked at him.

Edwards smiled, "The sadness is only temporary."

"Oh." Bonnie couldn't understand why Mom and Uncle Edgar had to separate when they were so much in love.

The world of adult feelings wasn't something she understood very well yet.

"Come on, let's get ready for dinner."

Edwards took him by the hand and headed for the exit.

Edwina returned to the kitchen, her hands gripping the phone tightly, her heart beating fast.

The moment she heard the phone ring, her heart raced and she hurried to her room, not caring what she was doing.

She knew Edgar would contact her like crazy when he found out they had moved.

That was why she had turned the phone off in advance.

She smiled to herself, it was really useless and she had to force herself to break contact with him like this.

"Are you okay?" Edwards walked over to her and gave her a concerned look.

Edwina hurried to sort through all her thoughts and smiled at him, "I'm fine."

Edwards scanned the phone in his hand and said, "If you miss it, turn it on, it should be looking for you all over the world right now."

"No need." Edwina pocketed the phone in her apron pocket. "Come on out, I'll get the food cold and then we can eat."

Edwards sighed softly, said nothing more and turned to leave.
