Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1298: Don't Call Me Miss Eloise

No matter how much Earlene asked, Hector wouldn't say what Eloise had talked to him about.

In the end, Earlene was exasperated and cried.

"So I'm already so unimportant in your heart."

Seeing her cry made it hard for Hector to resist, and Earlene continued to yell, "If you want to go back to Eloise, you'll tell me the truth, no need to hide it." "Earlene ..."

Hector opened his mouth to say something, but Earlene didn't want to hear it, "You don't have to say anything. I'll have the maids come and help you pack now." With that, she raised her hand and wiped her tears away, turning to leave.

"Earlene!"

Hector stepped forward to stop her.

"Get out of the way!" Earlene reached out to push him away, but his grip tightened.

"She just said something about the past."

Earlene looked up at him, "Really?"

Hector nodded, "I don't have to lie to you."

Earlene bit her lip, "Okay, I believe you. But you must swear never to see Eloise again."

Never see Eloise again?

How else was he going to see the baby then?

Hector's brow locked up, "Is that necessary?"

"What? You don't want to?"

As far as Earlene was concerned, the only way they could live their lives in peace was if he stopped seeing Eloise.

"I don't think it's necessary." Hector said truthfully.

Earlene's mouth curled in a few sneers, "Is it unnecessary, or do you still want to see her?"

Hector was silent.

It seemed to be the latter.

Earlene spoke slowly and deliberately this time, "Hector, I almost died when I went to beg Bergerian myself to save your life."

Hector's hands fell to his side and clenched quietly.

Earlene looked at him silently for a moment and continued, "It seems you don't really love me, otherwise why wouldn't you swear to it?"

Hector closed his eyes for a few seconds, then opened them and stared deeply at her, "Thank you for saving me then. I wouldn't be who I am without you."

"Then you can swear?" Earlene was a little touched by his words but still didn't forget about the vow.

"I can promise you the rest, but not this."

Hearing this, Earlene smiled, a smile that didn't reach her eyes, "Is it because of Eloise?"

HectorEdwina frowned, "Yes and no."

"Then is it or isn't it?" Earlene's voice sharpened, and on second thought, asked with a glimmer of hope, "Or is it about the baby?"

With some impatience in his mind, not wanting to dwell on the subject, Hector obediently answered, "Yes, for the baby."

He was doing it as much for Eloise as for the baby.

But since Earlene had asked, he took it in stride.

Earlene's brow relaxed a little and she nodded, "So it's about the baby. Fine, I'll let you see the baby, but not Eloise."

Hector clenched his fist, not really wanting to say yes.

But it was also clear that if he didn't say yes, she could pester her until dark.

So he nodded, "Okay, I promise."

His promise did not make Earlene feel reassured.

"You must do what you say you will do." Earlene said.

"Mmm."

Earlene smiled in satisfaction then, "That's all right, go to your room and rest."

As she watched Hector enter the room, the smile on Earlene's face slowly faded and her expression cooled.

She turned and quickly went downstairs, calling the butler to her heels.

"From tomorrow onwards, you must keep an eye on Hector, he is not allowed to leave the house at will, and if he does, someone must follow him." The butler nodded respectfully, "Yes, I understand."

"This will not be allowed to happen again today." Earlene added.

"Aye."

Back in his room Hector walked over to the bed and sat down, taking out his phone and flipping to Eloise's number, debating whether to call her. Just then, his phone rang.

It was Eloise.

He picked it up in a hurry, "Miss Eloise."

"I told you, don't call me Miss Eloise."

Eloise's disgruntled voice came through the receiver, and instead of feeling uncomfortable, the corners of Hector's mouth resisted turning up. He calls out instead, "Eloise."

Eloise on the other end of the phone laughed softly, "That's more like it."

"Something wrong with you?" Hector asked.

"Can't I call you if I don't have anything?" Eloise asked instead of answering.

Hector hastily replied, "Of course not."

Eloise was silent for a few seconds before speaking again, "I just wanted to ask if you were home yet?"

"Yeah."

"Did she give you a hard time?"

Eloise was worried that Earlene would give him a hard time if she knew he had come to see her.

"No."

He answered so quickly that Eloise felt unreal instead.

"She must have given you a hard time." She said with certainty in her voice.

Fearing that she might worry, Hector could only explain, "No, don't get any ideas. She's not giving me a hard time."

"It better be." Eloise asked expectantly, "By the way, when are you going to come and see the children; Sweety and Solomon miss you."

Looking at Earlene's attitude in the evening, Hector felt that it was unlikely that he would be able to go out any time soon.

But then he couldn't bear to disappoint Eloise.

So he said roughly, "In a few days."

"You can't lie to me." Eloise was afraid he was just saying it casually.

"How could I lie to you?" Hector didn't notice the natural hint of spoiling in his voice.

"I believe you."

Anything he promised her, he would do.

The two talked for a while longer, and for fear of Earlene finding out, Eloise didn't dare to talk much longer and had to hang up the phone reluctantly.

But before she hung up, she asked Hector not to put her name in his phone.

Hector laughed, "I know, I didn't save the number, I've got it all memorised."

Eloise then remembered that his memory was always good and he must have memorised her number by heart.

After hanging up the phone, Eloise lay back down on her bed, the corners of her mouth turning upwards as she thought about how she and Hector had gotten one step closer. I'm sure he'll think of her in time.

...

Eloise's health was fine and the doctor released her from the hospital to go home and recuperate.

Edgar came to pick her up from the hospital and on the way back, she mentioned that Hector had come to see her.

"He came to see you in hospital?" Edgar was shocked.

Eloise nodded, "Yeah."

"Alone?"

"Yeah, he was alone."

Edgar turned his head to look at her and asked again, "How was that a situation?"

"It's that he was worried about me and made a point of visiting me in the hospital."

Edgar frowned, "Does that prove that he actually has you in mind?"

"He's always had me in his heart, he's just lost his memory." Eloise said.
