Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 424 A Love-Hate Relationship (Part Two)

But, her casual promise never had come true.

She didn't know why she had come to London. In the past, she used to envy Becky because 'daddy' often took Becky to London. Seeing how much Molly admired her, her mother who was aloof to her, said gently to her, "Molly, mommy will take you to London one day." Molly smiled, but her eyes filled with tears and she felt terrible. The tears in her eyes shone like glass in the street lamps. Her eyes, with beads of tears, made her look more attractive. It was easy to tell from her eyes how sad she was.

Molly stopped walking suddenly. She looked around at the passing cars and realized that she didn't know where she was right now. She had lost her way.

There was a flash of panic in Molly's eyes. She stood on the busy road like a lost lamb. In the neon light, her face looked paler. She bit her lip softly, feeling even worse than before.

"Can I help you, Miss?"

A drunken man, who looked like he was in his forties, came up to her. Molly turned to look at the man. He had untidy hair and red cheeks. He had a bottle in his hand, and passed a wine-smelling hiccup at Molly. Molly was so frightened that she backed away and ran from him in a panic.

"Wait! Miss! Wait!" The man faltered towards Molly, "Miss, I'm just trying to help you. Miss!"

"No!"

Molly looked back at him and screamed as she ran. Her feet twisted together, and she lost balance.

Her eyes widened with fear. Just as Molly was about to fall, the man caught her. As she smelled the wine, Molly started crying in a panic before she could even stand still, "Let go of me! Let me go! Get away from me! Ah!"

The drunken man wondered why she was yelling. He restrained Molly from leaving with one hand and waved the bottle with the other, "What's going on, Miss? Are you lost? I've been watching you for some time. You've been looking around. Hic! Where are you going? Did you get separated from your friends or family? Do you need me to call the police for you?"

The man burped as he spoke. He looked as if he was stone drunk, but he spoke logically. He watched Molly struggle against him and suddenly realized why. He said, "Oh! Miss, you misunderstand me. I am not a bad person. I'm just trying to help you."

"Let me go! Let me go!" Molly was too frightened to pay any attention to what he was saying. She was struggling to free herself from the man. The smell of alcohol was making her sick and she felt like vomiting.

A siren sounded in the distance.

And in a moment, a patrol police arrived. He looked at the two noisy people in the street and got out of the car to inquire about the situation. Molly saw the police and thought she was going to be saved. The drunken man was relieved too. He let go of Molly and talked to the officer.

After listening to the man, the police looked at Molly, and tried to comfort her. The officer took both of them to the police station for verification. After a while, Molly found out that she had misunderstood the drunken man.

Molly felt embarrassed and apologized to the man, hoping he wouldn't get angry. The drunken man waved his bottle merrily and told her that he wasn't angry. In the end, the police helped Molly find a hotel.

Molly lay in bed, feeling exhausted. Her eyes hurt so much that she curled up and closed them. She did not know how she was going to live in London, and she did not dare to think about what she was going to do the next day.

"Mol... Mol...

Mol!"

Brian kept calling Molly's name. He suddenly opened his eyes and quickly looked around him. A frown appeared on his handsome face and he thought, 'Why am I in XK Intelligence Agency?'

Brian was worried. He quickly sat up from his bed, which made the wound on his body more painful. He frowned slightly and disregarding the wound on his body, he pulled the needle out of his hand and got out of bed.

"You are awake!" Shirley just happened to walk into the ward and she saw Brian putting his clothes on. Confused, she asked, "Where are you going? Your wound has not healed yet."

"How many days have I been unconscious?" Brian asked Shirley without answering her question.

"A week."

Brian thought, 'Damn it! I've been out of it for a week?' He walked out of the ward without saying anything.

"Bri!" Shirley ran after him.

Without looking back at her, Brian said, "I'm going back to A City."

Shirley quickened her pace, "You haven't recovered yet! You can't go anywhere."

Brian stopped and turned to look at Shirley. After a long pause, Brian asked, "Is there something you haven't told me?"

"No..." Shirley replied, with an embarrassed expression on her face.

Brian seemed to have realized something. He looked straight at Shirley, said nothing, and walked out of XK Intelligence Agency. "Stop!" Shirley exclaimed with no tenderness in her voice.

Brian clenched his fists. He turned slowly to look at Shirley with his sharp eyes, and said slowly, "I'm going back to find Mol."

Hearing his words, Shirley felt a pang in her heart. She didn't know how to tell him the truth.

Brian glared at Shirley for a few seconds, then gritted his teeth and asked, "Molly has gone, hasn't she
