Love Began with the First Meeting -
Chapter 422 Parting Ways (Part Six)
they had a unique feeling for him. At the moment, it was not good to delay the surgery even for one second.
The doctors frowned at his request. They needed to do the surgery for him right now, there was no second to waste. Although Brian would be the head of XK Intelligence Agency, they watched him grow up. They had treated his injuries countless times. Because of that, However, Richie seemed not to care about the urgency of his son's situation. He gave his phone to Brian and then observed him on the side coldly.
It was some time before his call was sent to Molly. At that time, Brian was already weak enough. Even so, he still finished the call as "calm" as he could. After finishing his sentence 'you must wait for me', he fainted into oblivion.
Richie didn't know what Molly had replied to him. But judging from Brian's insistent tone, he had guessed that Molly was not willing to stay.

The tears rushed out from Molly's eyes like waterfalls. Her eyes were in terrible pain as the tears were salty. Molly ignored the searing pain in her eyes. The physical pain seemed to express her inner pain and she welcomed it because that's the only way she could express her sadness.
"Are you going to continue crying like this regardless of your eyes?" Richie asked with raised eyebrows. His tone was without any emotion. From the time he came, his face hadn't shown any signs of emotion. "You can give up the eyes. But you can't waste the intention of the girl who donated her eyes for you."
Molly raised her tearful face. She looked at the man who made her feel infinite pressure with just a few words.
Richie gave a shallow smile. "Can you have a talk with me now?"
Molly sat there staring at Richie without speaking. She didn't know why he suddenly appeared. Taking a casual look around, her mouth turned down at the corners when she didn't see the people she wanted to see.
"Are you looking for Brian or Shirley?" Richie asked her with narrowed eyes. When he saw that Molly seemed to be frightened like a small white rabbit, he said, "They didn't come here today! I am here today just to see you off..."
Molly's red eyes were still filled with tears. She frowned slightly at Richie's words, not understanding what he meant. He was just as poker-faced as Brian, It was impossible to look for any information from their face.
Without saying a word, Richie produced a cheque from his inner coat pocket. He placed the cheque in front of Molly and said lightly, "This is your compensation for leaving..."
Molly lowered her head to look at the cheque. The string of zero above the cheque was quite dazzling. Her heart felt empty. Just a few hours ago, she couldn't wait to leave. But now... After Becky and Richie's words, she felt like her course had been decided. Still, she just wanted to see Brian for the last time. It would be okay if she could just talk to him. She wanted to ask him if what they said was true... Did he really want her to leave?
Molly smiled bitterly. She stared at the cheque and asked, "Is it Brian's idea to let me leave?"
Richie didn't answer. Instead, he just said, "I have arranged the ticket for you. This is just a ticket to send you out of A City. If you don't like the place, you can change it. This cheque could be exchanged anywhere in the world. In addition, I have prepared your passport and other things. But you must make sure that you leave here today!"
Molly looked up at the man who was speaking calmly in front of her. He had already taken for granted that would leave. Her heart felt heavy as lead... She still couldn't reach Brian. Did he really want her to leave, just as Becky said? Why did he send his father to do his dirty work instead of coming himself? He was avoiding her! Maybe he was afraid that she would not agree to leave...
"Ha ha.." Molly laughed bitterly.
The hot tears rolled down her cheek and gathered in her mouth. It was so bitter that she wouldn't forget its taste in her life.
At that moment, Molly was so sad that she was almost on the verge of despair. All the bad things were enlarged in her brain. All the bad things that Brian had done to her were etched in her brain. She felt the sadness spreading from her heart down to her every nerve... "Could you tell me where my parents are?" Molly asked with desperation.
Richie's pupil dilated as he looked at Molly. He had heard about what Brian had done to her parents. Since Brian wanted to protect her by doing that, there was no reason for him to say any more about it. "No!" he answered.
"Why?" Molly asked, trembling, "You have no right to ask me why!" Richie suddenly stood up and said, "Believe me, leaving here is good for both you and Brian. You two are not of the same world from beginning to end..." At the international airport of A City.
Molly can't believe that she's really at the airport and about to leave Brian for good. But the sweet voice broadcasting in the airport group assured her that it was real. She didn't take anything except a simple backpack. Inside it, there was the cheque and some toiletries and a few changes of clothes.
Molly looked back at the huge airport. The airport was teeming with people, some were leaving and some were coming home. They all had a yearning look in their face. Whether they were flying off to discover new horizons or they were coming back to their families. Everybody was floating in a bubble of hope. It was only her that had nothing. No matter in the past or in the future, she had no hope.
Approaching the boarding gate, she handed over her boarding pass and passport to the inspector. When Molly disappeared at the gate, her only baggage was infinite desolation.
Richie booked her a first-class ticket, at least she was leaving in style. Molly didn't pay attention to what the flight attendant had asked her as they prepared for takeoff. She just put her hand protectively over her abdomen as she stared unseeingly outside the window. She didn't even know what she was looking at.
As the plane lifted up in the air, Molly felt the emptiness in her heart expanded. She knew that she had left a big part of herself in A City. As the plane skidded across the cloudy sky, it left behind a trail of white mist. And the mist slowly disappeared in the sky. It was just like her life. She was a white mist floating in Brian's life for a while. And now it was the time for the mist to disappear... forever.

"Didi- didi --"
The heart rhythm machine sent out a jarring sound. Immediately, the doctors entered into intense and busy work...
"Mol, Mol..." Brian whispered through slightly cracked lips. His words were muffled by the sound of rapid footsteps and clanking instruments. "Mol, don't... Please don't leave. Don't do this, Molly."☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
