Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 1023 Extra Story 4 Of Sweetness Between Bri And Mol A Trump Card

With her mouth ajar, Molly didn't know how to respond to Brian. The corners of her mouth twitched for a couple of times before she was able to plaster a fake smile across her lips. Gritting her teeth in secret, she finally managed to say, "Angry? How could I be angry? Of course I'm not angry. Ha-ha..." "Mr. Brian Long, your pen is ready!" the salesman announced. As he did that, he handed Brian a delicate-looking bag respectfully. Unconsciously, he rescued Molly from great embarrassment.

In an indifferent manner, Brian withdrew his sight from Molly. After paying the bill, he said, "Let's go. It will be almost time for dinner when we arrive."

Sulkily, Molly followed him out of the store and got in the car. On their way to the restaurant, Molly was in low spirits. For the life of her, she could not understand why Brian couldn't act romantically towards her just like how Richie did towards Shirley. 'Hasn't he inherited his father's romantic gene?' she wondered to herself. For consecutive days, she had intentionally met with Spark in the hopes of arousing Brian's jealousy. To her disappointment, however, he looked as indifferent as he did before, as if he didn't care about his wife being close to another man.

While driving the car, Brian took his eyes off the road for a brief second to look at Molly. His usually hard, cold stare became soft and his face lightened up. He even had a faint smile on his lips. "Wing and Weston will leave Dragon Island tomorrow. I've just told Mark that we will also leave in a couple of days... Shirley wants Charlie and Evelyn to accompany her for a few more days. When she and Richie go back to XK Intelligence Agency, they will make a detour to A City to send the twins to us."

"Hmp!" Molly answered sulkily, rolling her eyes. "I already know that."

Hearing annoyance and frustration in her voice, Brian took another quick glance at Molly. No words came out of his mouth, however, and he continued driving in silence.

This made Molly angrier. She could not tell whether Brian was really oblivious at how angry he was making her feel, or he was just pretending not to recognize it. Some moments ago, he had pulled her out of the bar and away from Spark in such a domineering manner, but now he was literally paying no attention to her.

The sudden beeping of Brian's phone disrupted the silence inside the car and jolted Molly back from her deep thoughts. With a button press, Brian picked the call up.

"Mr. Brian Long," Tony said respectfully on the other end of the line, "Mr. Addison Long said that the dinner he arranged for this evening has been cancelled. He has to attend an emergency meeting in the National Congress. He told me that he called you but that he couldn't get through."

"Hmm," Brian replied in acknowledgement and then hung up the phone. Taking a glance at Molly, he asked, "Now that the dinner has been cancelled, do you have any other plans on where to eat dinner?"

Since the whole thing caught Molly off guard, she was still in a daze when Brian asked her this question. But soon enough, she began to furrow her eyebrows and stare sharply at Brian. Somehow, she knew that there was definitely something off with Brian. 'What is happening?' she thought to herself, reflecting.

"Do I have any plan...Hmn..." Molly mumbled to herself, sinking in her seat and looking out the window. After a few moments, she suddenly sat up straight, and once again looked Brian directly in the eyes. "Do you mean that we-together-will do whatever I have planned, if I do have a plan?" Remaining quite, she anticipated for Brian's answer, but it seemed like he wasn't going to. With a serious expression on her face, Molly said, "All right. Since Mark invited Spark for dinner this evening, I want to have dinner together with him as planned. The only change is that Mark would not join us. The baked lobster in HC Hotel is delicious. I think it's fine that we have dinner there."

The screeching sound of the emergency brake came through all of a sudden. Immediately, roars and whistles coming from the cars behind theirs were heard as they narrowly escape possible collision with their car.

"What? You're going to have baked lobster together with Spark?" Brian asked in a pointed tone. His chiseled, handsome face was overcame with an expression of rage and frustration.

Molly nodded. There was no trace in her face that she was going to back down.

Seeing that, Brian chose to switch off the engine on the middle of the road, totally ignoring the blaring honks from cars all around them. With a swift motion, he was able to unfasten his seat belt, and with another swift motion, his face was directly in front of Molly's. His eyes were narrowed more than ever, and they were as sharp as a hawk's. Once again, he asked, "You're going to have baked lobster together with Spark?"

By instinct, Molly tried to move backward. However, the space inside a car was limited and soon enough, she was cornered. "Well," she started, forcing her voice not to quiver. "What do you want to do Brian? If I remember correctly, it was you who said--" As she was saying that, she tried to push Brian away. However, every time she attempted that, he pressed her back into her place with his domineering aura. It was truly a stressful situation for Molly. "It was you who asked me if I have a plan!"

Molly shouted, doing all her best to push Brian away. Of course, she was not strong enough to do that. Instead of pushing the man on top of her to get out of her way, Brian seemed to be continuously closing in on her. When there was barely a space in between their faces, Brian, now in a deep, dangerous voice, asked Molly, "Does your plan only involve Spark?" For the past several days, he had been preventing himself to be fully affected by his jealousy of Spark. However, now, he felt that he was about to explode. Molly, on the other hand, was too stressed to respond to Brian. A moment ago, she had wanted to irritate him by arousing his jealousy. Now that wish came true, she found that the consequence might be more severe than she had expected.

"Mol?!" Brian shouted, set on getting answers from the lady. Seeing and feeling Molly's guilt without her even saying a single word, he felt even more angry and uncomfortable. When he had Elias and other doctors cure Spark's hand, his original intention had been to stop Molly from feeling guilty for his injured hand forever. Knowing her, he had known that as long as Spark didn't regain the normal use of his hand, the whole thing would always be a load on Molly's mind. However, he hadn't expected that when Spark's left hand recovered, the two of them would meet each other every day as if it was their job!

While Brian's face had danger written all over it, Molly knew exactly how to diffuse the situation. Suddenly, she wrapped her arms around his neck, and with the sweetest smile she could muster, she began flirting with him through her eyes. Then, in an uber sweet voice, she said, "Bri, you're the man that I like the most." While the whole act stunned Brian, he wasn't ready for what Molly had in store for him. After she proclaimed how he was the man she liked the most, Molly gave him quick, soft peck on the lips. With another sweet smile plastered on her lips, she continued, "And you're the only man I love."00000000☐☐☐☐
