Maya

I got dizzy, and I grabbed the table while I kept my phone in my ear.

“May?” Jess asked me, getting up and coming right next to me, I handed her the phone and sat down.

“Please don’t tell me someone’s dying because Maya’s going to pass out,” Jess said on the phone.

She remained silent for a moment, waiting for Lucas to answer, and when he arrived, Jess yelled “WHAT?!” Chaos broke out, all the children began to cry in despair.

“Luc what does that mean?” and she waited, “What do you mean you’re going to explain tonight?! No, Lucas doesn’t work like that! But what the f**k does that mean?! Of course we’re coming, okay, dress in blue, okay, license, bye,” she said and then hung up.

Did she start angry and end up like a lamb as was possible?

“So?” I asked, taking water.

“Take the computer May, we have a license to ask,” Jess said as he sat down.

“Excuse me? What the hell does that mean!” I said desperately.

“It means that our friends are getting married tonight and we will be there and we will celebrate their wedding, there is nothing to explain May”

“And this is how you accept it? Without any explanation?” I asked bewildered.

It was not like Jess to obey everything without asking for anything, God, she became a demon when she was not informed of things.

“He seemed very serious and confident and then the place where he gave us a date is strange”

“What do you mean?”

“In the hospital,” she said, placing Liam in the stroller.

“Someone is dying and as a last wish they want to get married,” I said pessimistically.

“God, May, can you stay calm? He didn’t have the voice of a sad one, but a happy one, so I want to see what they did this time. We just need to put on a blue dress,” she said thoughtfully.

“Blue? I don’t have a blue dress, Jess, I don’t have a blue pregnant dress, I only had one and Nate ripped it off me once.”

“Why does every conversation with you end with you and my brother naked?” she asked bewildered.

I shrugged and laughed.

Jess sighed “This means shopping May, go dress up we have clothes to buy”

“Why are you trying to solve everything with shopping?”

“Because I can,” she replied “hurry up,” she ordered, I sighed and went to get dressed, I wasn’t ready to go shopping with Jess.

I looked in the mirror and caressed the swollen belly that was highlighted by the jumpsuit with the shorts that I had bought that afternoon. The cobalt blue matched the colour of my eyes that I had made up slightly, the hair I had woven on the nape and left free on the back. I put on some l*p gloss.

On my feet, I had worn a pair of boots that reached up to my knee, although Jess had advised me to wear a pair of heels I certainly did not want to fall to please that crazy woman.

I put my hand on my tummy and felt a movement of the child, smiles and I stared at my reflection in the mirror, turning to the side to better observe the tummy.

“Where do we go with this look?” Nate’s voice heard behind me.

I turned and looked at him, leaning with my side to the door jamb, my arms crossed to my bare chest and my forehead frowning. Her blue eyes were analyzing me centimetre by centimetre and my legs immediately turned jelly.

“Why don’t you put a shirt on?” I asked back.

Nate gave me a mischievous smile then he passed his hand over his chest, I rolled my eyes and looked back at my reflection “Are you trying to ignore my question?” frowning churches.

Maya

I got dizzy, and I grabbed the table while I kept my phone in my ear.

“Ladies’ night?” I said, caressing my dress.

“I thought you were staying here, where are you going?”

“With Devon and Lucas,” I answered.

“Where?”

I looked at him and winked at him, in two strides Nate was behind me, he surrounded me with his arms and kissed my neck.

“Do you have any secrets from me, Mon amour?” he asked in a hoarse voice.

I moved my neck to allow him to k**s me “Never in life, but this is not my secret,” I said, and then I turned around and surrounded his neck with my arms and looked him in the eyes, while he laid his hands on my h**s and looked at me frowning.

“So now you’re hiding things from me,” he said pouting

“But it’s not my stuff! My secrets are all yours, but this is Lucas and Devon’s, and I promise you, tomorrow morning will be the first thing I tell you,” I said, giving him a gentle k**s on the mouth while the baby kicked, to make her presence felt.

“Someone is self-centred,” Nate said, looking at her tummy, and then he leaned over and started kissing her and saying sweet words while I stuck my hand in his black hair and held on to him.

Jess parked the car and turned off the engine. I immediately unbuttoned my belt and sighed, then took the jewellery bag with the rings inside.

“What do you think?” I asked, seeing Jess staring at the entrance.

“I think Lucas will have to give me a nice explanation, it turns out that the only one who didn’t get married in a hurry is me”.

“And don’t complain,” I said.

“I do complain, I do remind you that you ruined my wedding night with your mess with Nate. I still don’t understand how it’s possible that out of so many rooms inside that f*****g hotel, you’ve come to f**k like rabbits in the one next to mine. Did you know that when you started screaming like crazy, Andrew had just put his c**k in me?” she said, bewildered.

“Please, Jess. I don’t even remember that night.”

“Sometimes I remember I hate you, May,” she said as she got out of the car.

With a sigh he opened the door and, very slowly, I also came out, holding the bag and the bag.

“Jess, can you help me?” I said, closing the door.

“No, I hate you, May.”

“But do you think so?!”

“You ruined my wedding night!”

“Do you realize it’s been a year?”

“I don’t care, the memory hurts! I heard you all night getting slammed by my brother while my husband and I stared at the ceiling, waiting for the two of you to finish your f**k! With the damn bed slamming against the wall!” she complained.

“How many times do I have to apologize for that? I’m sorry!” I said desperately

“Why are you two fighting?” Lucas’ voice entered.

We both turned to him and immediately ran towards him, Jess was faster, she and her silhouette, I arrived more slowly and hugged him tightly.

“I hate her, Luc!” Jess cried.

“Why now?”

“Because she ruined my wedding night! She forced me to hear all night her getting f****d by my brother! I had to listen to my brother f**k! The verses he made every time he came and certainly were not few!”

“Why are you leaving now, after a year?” he asked bewildered.

“Because it’s a f*****g drama queen Luc,” I said, clasping his neck with my arms, “You don’t know how much I missed you! Just having Jess around is unbearable!” I complained.

Jess pulled away from Lucas and looked at me frowning and I imitated her, both of us holding an arm around Lucas’ neck as we looked at each other in a daze, Lucas holding his hands on our h**s and looking away from me to her.

“She’s unbearable,” Jess said, looking over at Lucas, “She spends all day having erotic thoughts about getting banged on every surface of the house by my brother,” she said disgustedly.

“It’s not my fault if my husband f***s me like a god,” I answered proudly.

“Please don’t” Jess shook her head.

“I agree with May this time,” said Lucas and I immediately mouthed at Jess “If I had a husband like Nate, I would spend the whole day thinking at the ways he could f**k me,” she said.

“Please don’t put yourself there,” Jess complained, “That brings us to the main thing, your marriage, Lucas. What the f**k is that?”

“I don’t judge you, I’m always with you,” I said, kissing him on the cheek.

“What a f*****g pimp you are! Just to make me look like a villain!” Jess yelled and I gave her a big mouth.

“For two mothers and married women, you look like a child. Is it possible that motherhood didn’t make you mature?”

“Absolutely not,” I said.

“There would be no fun,” Jess replied simultaneously.

“I hope it will be the same for me,” Lucas sighed.

We were all still wrapped around each other and Jess’s head and mine snapped towards Lucas’ face, looking at him intensely.

“Devon and I will adopt, that’s why the wedding,” Lucas said calmly.

Jess opened her mouth as my eyes filled with tears and immediately I started crying like a f*****g fountain.

“Why are you crying, May?” Lucas said, grabbing my face and wiping my tears.

“I’m happy,” I answered.

“Is that why you cry?”

“She cries for anything she doesn’t mind,” Jess said.

“I prefer May’s hormones to your Jess, you used to throw things at people just for waving at you the wrong way”

“Are you provoking me?” Jess said, raising an eyebrow.

“I would never dare”

“Will you be parents?” I asked, sobbing.

Lucas looked at me and smiled and then nodded, I approached him and hugged him as hard as I could, almost certainly crushing him.
