Fanny pondered for a moment, and thought of Diana. After that, she headed to Fulcher Manor. For some reason, she was sure that Diana would help her. To her dismay, she found out that Diana hadn't returned home for many days. She hurriedly pulled her hat low to cover her face, and turned to leave. The world was so huge, yet she found herself wandering around aimlessly, unable to find a place where she could settle down and feel safe.

The glory of what felt like her previous life had been smashed to smithereens by her very own hands.

Fanny felt increasingly miserable the more she thought about it. Her guilt toward her parents intensified.

Worst still, Oliver had no news of Fanny until now.

"Erin is here," the bodyguard said, bringing her in.

She was still wearing the outfit Fanny donned on when leaving the villa. It was precisely this outfit that helped Fanny slip away.

Erin was the one Oliver casually assigned someone to deal with back then, because he didn't want to be too involved in Fanny's company.

Now that he thought about it, he found it peculiar how fate worked. Everything led to the terrible plight he was currently in.

Despite that, Oliver didn't think he did anything wrong.

He just wanted to be with Fanny. If she was safe and sound, and stopped creating trouble for him, he wouldn't mind what she had done. Rather, he would treat her better than before.

On one condition: that she let go of her grudge against Kenneth Channing for the evil he had done to her parents.

Fanny wandered on the streets for a long time, not daring to remove her hat. She soon spotted a Channing bodyguard from afar. He was restraining a woman and forcing her into a car, whom she realized to be Erin.

Fanny couldn't stand idly by and wait any longer. She decided to counter-attack right away.

She tightened her grip over her phone, and clicked the recording open. Wild desperation flashed past her eyes as she locked her eyes on a target straight ahead, and walked in that very direction.
