I’m Not Yours, Alpha – Chapter 84

Aidan got up after a faint sound he could see from outside the room. He sat up in bed and pushed his hair back out of his face. Beside him Julian slept peacefully. Seemingly carefree, though Aidan imagined he was tired from recent events. After all, dealing with an alpha was no game. Least of all one like Madox.

Carefully he got out of bed and passed through the bathroom before heading out. It was no surprise to find his alpha’s back this time covered inside the kitchen. He had been considerate since they had visitors and it was frowned upon for an alpha to be exposing himself having a mate. More so one like Aidan. Although he missed his mate’s nearly naked body only covered by black boxers cooking in the mornings. That way anyone would wake up in a good mood.

-Good morning, honey,” he said, looking over his shoulder, leaving the frying pan on the stove, “Did you sleep well,” she kissed his cheek as soon as he passed her and sat on the edge of the plateau with her feet dangling.

-I really did. I didn’t get too much physical activity, just moved my mouth a lot last night. There was a lot of catching up to do and it was a long three months-

Dominic let out a laugh at his partner’s sarcasm and turned off the stove after making sure the fried egg was ready.

-And why didn’t you invite me, if that wonderful mouth of yours was so active,” his green eyes turned an intense color, “I was very lonely last night,” Aidan said in a mischievous tone, approaching him and getting between his thighs.

Aidan raised an eyebrow.

-You won’t die for a night you don’t spend with me. You were just fine without me until the other day.

-How cruel my omega can be,” he laughed lightly.

-I’m lying. Besides, I remember you were very arrogant at the beginning and you wanted to drag me along as if I were already yours. Too bad for you alpha-

-Well, when you have a stubborn partner like the one fate handed me, drastic measures wouldn’t hurt,” he puffed out his chest proud of his work.

He kissed her cheek.

-Well, we ended up here together in the end. Who would have thought it. And together with Julian and a supposedly changed Madox. When I see him in action, I’ll believe he’s really changed.

-You’re not the only one who expects it. Madox really is unpredictable, although once alphas are bonded, most are usually monogamous.

-You said it, most of them. Not 100% of them- Aidan looked slightly worried.

-Well, we’ll see what happens from up close and if anything I’ll let you take the first punch in case she screws up,” he rubbed his nose on the omega’s neck, inhaling her scent. Only with the promise that tonight you will spend it with me. I’m not playing when I say I didn’t sleep very well.

-You really look like a puppy Dominic. But I can’t leave Julian alone right now. He just got back. Besides, I don’t think conversations between omegas are much to an alpha’s liking.

-He wrapped his arms around his omega’s waist and glued his body to the smaller one. Aidan’s legs soon wrapped around his h**s holding them intimately together.

Aidan smiled.

-That’s cute Julian’s tummy,” his voice sounded sweet and soft.

Dominic felt his chest tighten. He’d known this might be coming since he’d noticed Julian’s smell was different. He didn’t smell like him. But his scent was mixed with something else.

-When the time is right I promise you that I will do my part myself so that you can have your own little belly and not just one,” he put his hand on his omega’s flat belly.

-Even after all this time and the meds it may be difficult for you to come out in state soon,” there was bitterness inside him.

Dominic understood. After detoxing his dormant omega instincts had awakened and part of them were those of caring for his own children. Aidan was young, but even so, it was surely in his plans to have puppies in the future.

-Don’t worry, I’m sure time will help solve that problem,” she brought her face close to Aidan’s and placed a soft k**s on his lips. I will be by your side. Anyway, there are things that must come first-” He wrapped his arms around Aidan.

He wrapped his arms around his alpha’s neck and kissed him back. He loved that he understood.

-What things?

-That’s a surprise for tonight,” he said, leaving a k**s on her nose.

-Tonight? But we have guests. Julian is on the other side of that door.

Dominic smiled and her hands slid down his back to cradle his round buttocks. He swore they had grown after the constant nightly massages he subjected them to.

-That’s no problem. Madox woke me up like a tyrant at 5 a.m. to tell me he’s already got the sleeping beauty’s surprise all ready for him in there and he’s coming to get him…” he paused when the doorbell rang, “He’s already here.

Aidan grimaced.

-Who does he think he is?” he pushed Dominic away and stepped off the plateau.

Dominic began to laugh.

-Love, what are you going to do,” she patted his buttock as he started to walk towards the door.

-Show him that in this house, he’s not the king,” he stuck his tongue out at her as he was in a very good mood, especially to f**k up a certain alpha’s life.

-Well, good luck with that- a wolfish grin was on Dominic’s lips and he turned to finish breakfast for four as his mate opened the door.

Aidan squared his shoulders and opened the door, leaning back against the frame and putting his raised foot on the other frame blocking the entrance completely. Madox who stood on the other side with a bouquet of roses in her hands simply raised an eyebrow and didn’t hide the fangs of her smile.

-Precious, your legs are beautiful but my little bird is richer than you, so you don’t have to show off your gifts like that.

-He crossed his arms over his chest, “Did you see what time it is? At least you couldn’t have missed another week.

The alpha snorted and bowed to Aidan.

-Good morning to you too, beautiful,” he didn’t answer him, he was just his usual self before kissing his cheek again. He wasn’t doing it in a flirtatious way as he had the couple entwined only meters away, rather, it was a way to tease him.

Dominic finished setting the table when he smelled Julian behind him and turned around.

-Good morning,” he greeted him softly.

The omega was rubbing his eyes and with his hair all tousled, full of unruly curls he looked like a stuffed animal, which was very cute.

-Good morning,” she yawned. The voices in the room had woken her up, especially one that was very familiar to her.

Dominic looked out the door at his omega and his best friend engaged in some kind of argument to the point that they hadn’t noticed Julian was already up. Even though he was the initial and surely the final topic of discussion.

-Don’t listen to them. Do you like bacon? –

Julian nodded his head and heeded the alpha and sat down at the table which was full of simple but seemingly carefully prepared dishes. It was perhaps 10 minutes later that both Aidan and Madox came in tired, it seemed, from arguing. They were both panting.

-My love,” the alpha approached the red-haired omega and leaned in, leaving him a resounding k**s on his cheek, “I brought you this,” he offered him the beautiful bouquet of flowers.

And they were precisely the flowers he liked. Again remembering what his tastes were. Because if there was something he couldn’t deny, it was that Madox always remembered what he preferred.

-Thank you,” he said with a light smile and sniffed them. His scent was soft and pleasant.

-Madox, sit down or your breakfast will get cold,” Dominic reprimanded him, sitting Aidan next to him and serving him a plate, “And I’m not throwing away all this food just because of what’s on your mind.

-What’s on his head?” Julian asked, placing the bouquet carefully next to him.

-Surprises, little bird. Lots of surprises,” he smiled and placed a k**s on her temple before sitting down to eat.

And if there was one thing the alphas had to admit, it was that they never imagined a year ago that they would be sitting there, the two of them, flirtatious bachelors, now practically engaged.

And it felt damn good.
