I’m Not Yours, Alpha – Chapter 26

Of all the people he could meet, it had to be the one with whom his relationship had ended the worst.

-Mother-

-How is your new life working out for you,” she asked wryly, “Apparently no better than when you were under my supervision,” the words were spoken with a certain rejection.

Aidan rose to face her but the colours around him faded and he fell back into a sitting position as the pain in his chest grew stronger.

-Look at you,” the mother snorted, “Did your new partner that you’re spreading your legs for dump you,” she turned her head.

-I just went out to get some air, don’t bring him into this,” Aidan raised his head after taking a deep breath that made him feel halfway better, “And I’m warning you, at least he’s looking out for my health, not like a certain someone who only gave me drugs that would kill me before long.

-And what does that matter,” his mother’s words hit Aidan so hard that what little colour he had in his face disappeared, “I just needed you to be alive for a year after the wedding to take the other part of the money I was owed,” Aidan gasped.

Aidan gasped. Apparently the situation was more serious than he had imagined.

-So I was just a business.

-It’s not my fault Aidan,” the woman put her hands on her h**s, “If only you weren’t the son of that dog of a father of yours who abandoned me, maybe I’d be a little more fond of you. At least when Hans’ parents proposed that deal to me, you were good for something. They paid a fair share for your commitment. They needed a boy they could easily manipulate for their son.

Aidan dropped his head forward with shocked eyes.

-So you never wanted me,” a hollowness formed inside him and a lump formed in his throat, “I was just a source of income for you?

-Was? You’re wrong, my love, you still are.

And before Aidan could react his mouth was covered from behind and one of his hands grabbed and pulled him to the floor. The weight of someone on top of him knocked the wind out of him and he scraped his knees on the asphalt. He shook himself trying to shake off whoever was on top until he heard his mother speak again.

-Hold him tight Hans, don’t let him go. If your parents find out he left home, I don’t get the money and you don’t get your slave.

Aidan looked out of the corner of his eye at the figure of his ex-boyfriend standing over him and holding his arm tightly behind his back. By the light of the bulb he couldn’t see the expression on his face, but inside he knew it was something he didn’t want to remember. Fear gripped him and he felt vulnerable and as weak as he was he didn’t know if he would be able to let go. Still he shook himself again. The image of Dominic came to his mind and he shrieked for help.

Then the whole atmosphere became tense as one of Hans’ hands pinned his head to the ground so hard that his l*p split and his nose began to bleed.

-Shut the f**k up,” the beta snarled as he noticed the mark on his neck and with his fingernails he ran his fingernails over the top, tearing the skin.

Aidan let out a cry of pain and tears welled up in his eyes. B***d soon ran down the edge of his neck and he fell back in defeat.

-No, it can’t be,” the woman exclaimed, “He can’t be marked,” she touched her head, “That’s the bite of an alpha, you can’t even serve now,” she shouted at him.

-Police, police, over here, someone is being attacked,” a voice echoed near them.

The two attackers looked at each other in fear and clicked their teeth.

-Quick, they want to escape,” another shout from that person.

They had no choice but to leave Aidan’s almost convalescent body on the pavement and run away. The omega could barely hear them. It was all very confusing. These last few days had been the worst, the rape, the anguish, now the attack.

-Hey, are you okay?” he heard in the distance the same voice that had shouted but this time it was close to him and was gently touching his sword.

Aidan wanted to respond but his eyelids were slowly giving way. The mark on his neck was a torture of irritation and despite everything he had done to him, he wanted to be in Dominic’s arms.

It may have been a long time inside her mind but it was barely two hours when she opened her eyes again to find herself in a small room painted red with ornaments in many places. The bed was soft and cozy wrapped in a sweet and not at all aggressive smell. The smell of another omega.

-Finally you wake up,” that quiet voice was present and Aidan turned his head towards the door.

It was a small young man, shorter than him and slender. He had beautiful reddish, wavy, shoulder-length hair that he wore in a straight cut and his eyes, though he couldn’t quite see them, looked hazel. From the light in the room she could tell he was young maybe 24-25 years old.

This omega came over and sat on the edge of the bed feeling Aidan’s forehead.

-I’m Julian, I’m an omega just like you, I saw you were being attacked,” he smiled warmly.

Aidan made a gesture to get up when his arm and neck pulsed. Julian’s hand rested on his shoulders and insisted that he stay lying down.

-You should rest, you’re too weak. Remember you are an omega, our bodies are really weak so we have to take extra care of them, especially you who have an alpha.

The mention of the word alpha made Aidan’s face soften in regret.

-I, I ran away from my alpha.

-Oh,” the boy seemed to analyse the situation, “That’s not good, he must be upset, what happened, if I may ask?

Unlike with others Aidan felt comfortable talking to another omega besides Dulse who was the ex of his current alpha. So the words just came out of his mouth.

-Until recently I was led to believe I was a beta, until my alpha told me he was my destined mate, several things happened but I ended up staying at his house. We went on a trip and he went into heat and I was just there. I know neither of us wanted it that way but it marked me in every way. After that I didn’t want him to touch me and when we got back I just ran away from his house.

Julian finished listening to the story and grimaced.

-And now you’re longing for me to be by your side.

-How do you know that,” the omega looked at him in surprise.

-Because no matter how he marked you, your omega will want to be by his alpha’s side all the time and feel protected, that’s why you called him when you were being attacked. Don’t worry it’s a normal reaction. As for the fear you may have of him, that will pass in a few days when the need is greater, unless your alpha rejects you and makes things more difficult for you.

Processing all that information was time-consuming, yet he thanked her.

-Thank you, your alpha must be proud to have you,” Aidan thanked him for his comfort.

Julian smiled strangely.

-I don’t have an alpha,” he continued after seeing the other omega’s expression, “The truth is I have an alpha I like, I want him to be the one to mark me, I want to be the one to give birth to his pups but he needs someone stronger by his side, not an omega like me,” a sad smile crossed his lips, “At least he goes through my jealousy with me, so I can’t ask for more.

Aidan could only press his lips together thinking about what it would be like if Dominic only sought him out in the stages of heat and it didn’t feel good at all. He was about to try to say something when the pain in his chest returned but this time stronger to the point of knocking the wind out of him. He closed his eyes and let his body relax for relief. Soon he was asleep again.

Julian brushed the hair off his guest’s forehead and left the room grabbing the mobile phone and dialed the contact that said HIS ALPHA. It rang twice before it was picked up.

-Tell me, my little bird.

-Excuse me for calling you now, I know you don’t like me interrupting you when I’m not in heat, but could I ask you a favour?

You know you can call me whenever you want, I don’t mind, what do you want?

-I have an omega here in the house, it was being attacked and I picked it up, but it’s not doing very well, could you come and check it out. I know it’s late and you may be busy.

It was a minute before the alpha on the other side answered again.

I’m never busy if you ask me to be. I’ll be at your place in twenty minutes, but I want a reward afterwards, and you know what I mean.
