RAYHAN

S*x with Delsanra was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before, mind-blowingly, hot and perfect didn’t cut it. Loving someone and making love to them was on another level… The way she felt, the way she reacted to me, the way she made me feel.

The throbbing desire that had consumed me in her presence was quelled, but only for a few seconds because with her, it was never enough. “F*ck…” I lay her on the bed, looking her over. What happened? Her breathing was steady, and she wasn’t in any pain any longer. What was that? so I awoke to a dull ache between my thighs and something hard poking my lower stomach. Everything seemed louder and the sound of Rayhan’s heartbeat was a pleasant hum to my ears. The smell of s*x, b***d and his intoxicating scent filled my nose.

He frowned, “It was strange… I saw like a glowing aura around you, do you think maybe marking you unleashed your powers?” He asked, I didn’t miss the slice of hope in his eyes.

I tugged away, my own heart skipping a beat as I closed my eyes, whispering a spell. I felt the same tug in my chest that I felt every time I pulled at my sealed powers. No, they were still sealed… Yet I felt different. I sighed, opening my eyes.

“No… My powers are still sealed.” I remarked. “But I feel stronger, guess that’s the bond right?” “Probably.” He said, reaching over. He brushed my hair back, his eyes falling to my neck. “Beautiful…”

“I want to see it,” I said, touching my neck. “One sec.” He sat up, leaning for something on the ground. The sudden loss of his touch made me feel empty. My heart thundered.

Was this what it would feel like every time we were apart? He turned back to me, his phone in hand a she car*ssed my cheek. “I’m never leaving you, kitten.” “I didn’t say anything.” I said with a pout, as he took a picture of my neck. “I can kind of sense what you’re thinking.

” He smirked. I frowned “That’s a wolfie thing?” “Kind of.” He winked as he held the phone out to me. I took it, my heart skipping a beat as I looked at the screen nervously. c It was not what I was expecting. There was a full moon, surrounded by flames.

One could mistake it for the sun, but it was clearly a moon. In front of the moon was a silhouette of a wolf, its fur a deep navy black, littered with stars and a small moon… just like the night sky…

“What do you think?” He asked softly. My eyes snapped up towards him and I smiled slightly. “It’s… beautiful, like you.” He smiled and I blushed. “Uh, I mean… Like your wolf, your wolf is beautiful….” “Either way it’s cool.” He said, pulling me into his lap.

“I don’t know how, but you look a thousand times more beautiful… if that’s even possible. I smiled, locking my arms around his neck and k!ssing him. I didn’t care about the future.

All I cared about was that no matter what, I had him…

CHRIS

It was the following day, and Rayhan had mind linked that he was on his way back. He and Delsanra had stopped at one of the family holiday homes not far from pack grounds.

I didn’t know how I’d be able to face him or Raihana. Not after yesterday… When I left her room, I had felt her powers and rushed inside, knocking her unconscious. But I wasn’t the only one who had felt the surge of power. I had instantly mind-linked Lola to get her a.ss over to handle Raihana, who I had tucked into her sheets. Blake had rushed inside the mansion, asking what it was. Although I brushed it off, he didn’t seem to believe me.

(FLASHBACK)

“What was that?!” He asked, rushing up the stairs just as I closed Raihana’s door. “Nothing,” “I felt something, Chris. Is Raihana ok!? How could you leave her alone when something is f*cking off!” He growled pushing the door open. His eyes scanned the room fervently before he stepped back, running a hand through his hair. “Something still isn’t right…” “I felt it too, but it’s gone and the warriors are just scanning the area. Just calm down, Blake.”

I replied moodily. “Don’t tell me to calm down.” He growled, “Watch who you’re talking to.” I growled back, my eyes flashing. c He was about to say something when his gaze flicked to my neck, my clothes and my hair.

F*ck, I probably smelt of her… His eyes flashed before he slammed me against the door. ப. aHaasaalias “What did you do?!” He hissed, pressing his arm against my throat. “Nothing.” I shot back, shoving him off and throwing him to the ground.

A murderous growl made both of us turn to see Lola standing there. Right now, her rank may be lower than mine as she hasn’t taken the position from her father, but she was still the future Beta of this pack. Making both of us stop our f*cking spat. “We felt something across the entire pack premises and you two are being a.sshats?! “She growled.

She looked at me before pushing us both away from each other and entering Raihana’s bedroom. “I’m going to tell the Alpha.” Blake snapped. “I’ll do it.” I growled, “I’m the f*cking Delta.” “I will.” Lola snapped with irritation. I knew I’d have to talk to her.

Even if I couldn’t tell her the truth, I could kind of explain this crap. “Well, I wonder what he’d think knowing what you were f*cking up to.” “Or that you’re just f*cking jealous that you didn’t get there first,” I growled.

He tensed and I felt a flare of anger. So, I was f*cking right… I scoffed, feeling irritated that he saw her like that. About to say more, I stopped. What could I say? It wasn’t like she was mine… “Stay the f*ck away from her.” I hissed.

“Don’t tell me what to do. I’m sure Alpha Rayhan would love to know that his best friend has been messing around with his sister at the first chance he got.”

He muttered venomously. My eyes flashed, and I slammed him against the wall in a rage. He wasn’t wrong… I had f*cked up… big f*cking time “Stay out of my way Blake, or I swear I won’t forgive you.” I growled, walking off.

I sighed, yeah I messed up… Raihana had organised a small party to welcome Delsanra and it seemed like the girls expected me there. The only problem: I had been avoiding Raihana since yesterday… We should never have gone there… the pent-up emotions between us had just gotten out of control.

o “Chris! Seriously, can you make yourself useful? Rayhan will be here in the next fifteen minutes, can you please grab the food that we ordered? James said they just took it from the delivery guy.” “Then get him to deliver it here, I’m not a delivery boy Lola.” I shot back. She gave me a sceptical look. ‘Don’t push it, Chris, I still need to talk to you…

The state you were in yesterday, and the marks on Raihana’s neck… You f*cked up big time. She mind linked me. ‘It takes two.’ I shot back coldly. ‘But we all know your antics. She can’t be one of your escapades. Ever.’ ‘I f*cking know.? I walked off, I’d rather get this damn delivery than face Lola and Raihana… I f*cked up big time, and this time around, even my best friend wouldn’t be on my side.

DELSANRA

Darkness had fallen and we had left the gorgeous cabin, but Rayhan had told me it belonged to his family and we could return at any time. I would miss it and it was going to forever remain a special place in my heart…

This was where I was marked and as Rayhan called it, ‘mated.’ I think it was going to take me time to get used to the werewolf terminology of things. My head rested on Rayhan’s shoulder as he drove across the borders of pack territory. Strangely, I could sense the heartbeats and the rush of b***d from passing guards. I had to shake my head to clear my senses a few times.

I made sure my spell was still in place, for now, I was going to pretend to be human. I just hoped no one saw through me like the king o I was dressed in an off-shoulder purple top that clung to me like a second skin, and a pair of dark grey skinny jeans.

It was clear the queen loved clothes that showed off one’s figure, and in this case, my figure that Rayhan drank up every OS o chance he got. And I won’t deny that I liked it. The way he looked at me had him losing his self-control and watching his eyes flash from green to grey was rather fascinating.

The only pieces of jewellery I was wearing were the bracelet that Rayhan had put on me yesterday and a pair of studs that Kiara had picked out. “It’s going to be ok,” Rayhan said, making my stomach flutter at the sound of his voice.

Oh god, this bond has amplified everything “I know, it’s still nerve-wracking.’ “Tonight, it’s just Chris, Lola, Rose and Raihana. You’ve met the other three, I’m sure you and Raihana will have enough in common.” He gave me a wink, leaning down and k!ssing my l!ps. Now I understood what Kiara had meant… The Lycan Kings’ home was modest in comparison to the marble palace before me, with its balconies, pillars, fountains and the waterfall that cascaded down one of the walls.
