Chapter 991 The Mark of the Loser

Her clear voice, tinged with trembling, made the man who was taking advantage of her pause. Hawk lifted his head, and those already crimson lips seemed to glow even brighter, perhaps due to her blood. "Loser? Do you think I care? I just want to destroy his favorite thing and watch that arrogant lawyer suffer a blow. As for the rest, who cares?"

Hawk seemed on the verge of losing control, like someone under the influence of drugs. Evelyn knew she couldn't challenge his authority at this moment, but she also couldn't just sit and wait for her fate. Her eyes darted around as she spoke softly but clearly, "You want it? Fine, come then. I won't cooperate with you like I did with Huston because your touch brings me no pleasure. You're not like him, so you can only receive treatment that is inferior to him. If you're willing to force me today, go ahead, but you will forever be a loser compared to Huston!"

Comparisons and failures were what Hawk despised the most in his life. He had an extremely unfortunate childhood, experiencing hunger, destitution, and living at the mercy of others. All of this was a result of him being inferior to others. Losing meant more than just failure to him; it plunged him into a suffocating darkness that left him gasping for air.

That's why he never admitted defeat throughout all these years, even if it meant risking his life. Losing would make him feel like he was back in his childhood as if he had never been strong, constantly living in the shadows of those dark times.

In fact, he did live in those shadows, but he refused to admit it. He had deceived himself for a long time.

Evelyn watched helplessly as Hawk forcefully exerted his dominance once again. The physical pain she felt was nothing compared to the thought of being violated by another man tonight. Even if she were to return one day, she would be too ashamed to face Huston again.

"You'll regret it, Hawk. You'll regret your decision."

"That's it. Do what you want to do and admit that you're a loser. It's not that difficult..."

"As long as you make a move, it will become a fact, and you will always be labeled as a loser..."

Every time Evelyn spoke, she would feel double the pain, but the physical pain was nothing. She was willing to endure it all if it meant making him stop!

Unfortunately, Hawk showed no intention of stopping. He unfastened Evelyn's belt and forcefully pulled it down, exposing her long, slender legs to the air. She was left with only a piece of undergarment that provided inadequate coverage. Evelyn could feel his calloused hands slowly caressing her body...

Just as Evelyn thought she couldn't escape this ordeal tonight, Hawk suddenly halted his hand. He abruptly stood up, his eyes blazing crimson as if stained with blood. His face turned terrifyingly dark, and the temperature around him dropped, sending chills down her spine like never before, surpassing any previous encounter with him.

Evelyn stared at him with wide eyes, her breathing cautious. Adrenaline surged through her veins, and her heart raced. His sudden pause indicated that her words had made an impact!

This realization gave her hope. Just as she was about to continue stimulating Hawk, he suddenly punched her left shoulder.

A person consumed by rage wouldn't consciously control their strength. Hawk exerted eighty percent of his force as he swung down with a fist as hard as a stone, filled with absolute power and fury, striking towards her. Upon impact, a crisp sound of bones breaking could be heard.
