Chapter 475 I Didn't Know Things Would Turn Out Like This "Does it hurt?" Mabel gently wiped Evelyn's cheek with a

disinfectant. "It's swollen and has some extravasated blood.

Don't touch it with your hand. I'll ice it for you later."

"I'm fine, Mabel." Evelyn smiled bitterly and lowered her eyelids slightly. "I don't have time for that now."

Mabel paused. Seeing that her body had been trembling

since she entered the lounge, he felt very uncomfortable. He

took the anti-inflammatory spray and sprayed it on her skin.

He couldn't help asking, "What happened just now?"

What's going on?

Evelyn looked back at what had happened tonight and didn't know where to start. She also wanted to ask what was going

on, but who should she ask? Mia?

Seeing that she didn't speak, Mabel frowned slightly. "That

injection, where did it come from?"

According to her judgment over the years, there would never be any foreign drugs in Sandy's ward as a VIP patient.

Obviously, the key to this matter was that injection.

"The syringe is in the first-aid kit. The medicine inside." Evelyn paused and thought about it carefully. She had to admit that Mia had been planning this from the very beginning. From the moment she put on the isolation suit, she couldn't get rid of it.

Mabel still wanted to ask something, but at this time, the door

of the lounge was suddenly pushed open from the outside,

and a fierce wind came from the door. Before she could see it

clearly, a black shadow rushed to her.

Huston's face was locked with gloom. His voice was very tight, and his chest rose and fell violently. His gaze fell on

the swollen little face and froze a little. The question he had

thought about on the way turned into a question. "Are you injured?"

Evelyn burst into tears after holding back for a whole night. Those unspeakable emotions wove into an impenetrable net and strangled her. It was not until the moment she saw him

that she realized how scared she was.

"Huston, I don't know. It wasn't me; it really wasn't me." Her

voice trembled violently, and her tone was out of tune. One could see how helpless she was just now.

Looking at Evelyn, Mabel couldn't help crying. No matter how

much outsiders said, it was not as good as the words of his

beloved.

Huston clenched his fists, afraid that he would not be able to control himself and hold her in his arms. "Didn't you say you were at home? Why did you come to the hospital?" "Mia called me and asked me to come over. When I called you,

I was already downstairs in the hospital. I was afraid that you would be worried, so I didn't say anything..."

"Didn't I tell you not to contact Mia in private?" Huston was

angry not because she had made the decision on her own but

because she didn't take his words seriously. He was afraid that

she would suffer losses.

"I didn't know it would turn out like this." Before Evelyn could finish her words, she bit her lower lip hard to hold back her

tears.

His gaze fell on her surging tears, and he let out a deep breath. Suppressing the anger in his chest that was caused by anxiety, he turned to look at Kevin and asked, "Where's Mia?" "Mia's still in the ward." Kevin tilted his body slightly. "Shall we

go over now?"

Huston pondered for a moment, and his black eyes were as heavy as mist. He looked around the lounge and finally fixed his gaze on Evelyn. He stared at her for a long time before slowly spitting out a few words, "Let's go to the monitoring

room first."

As he spoke, his dark eyes were fixed on her.

He was observing her expression, not even letting go of the

smallest of movements. Fortunately, after saying this, she did. not have much of a reaction, and her pupils did not change. because of her mood swings.

For some reason, Huston felt a little more at ease. He reached

out to hold her trembling hand and said, "Don't be afraid. I'm here."

Evelyn was stunned for a moment, and then she held his hand even tighter. Her eyes were red as she nodded. "Yes."
