Chapter 1052 Change to Another Life

On the second night after Huston and Evelyn left the police station, Hawk went crazy again. He kept kicking the wall. When the prison guard went in, the originally white wall was already covered with black and gray dirt under his feet.

"What are you doing in the middle of the night? Be quiet!" The police officer looked at the man standing by the bed angrily.

Hawk turned his head, and his eyes were full of hostility, which made people couldn't help but be afraid. The police officer quickly called his colleagues behind him together and then dared to walk in. "I told you to be quiet, what are you looking at!"

"I want to see your captain," he suddenly said in a hoarse voice.

"See Captain?" The police officer pointed to the watch hanging on the wall. "Do you know what time it is now? It's 1:30 in the morning. You don't sleep, and Captain doesn't sleep either?"

Hawk shook his neck and said confidently, "Tell him that I have something to tell him, and he will naturally come to see me."

The police officer just waved the electric baton in his hand and threatened, "Go to sleep! If you don't behave yourself, I'll ask someone to teach you a lesson tomorrow!"

Seeing that he was about to leave, Hawk suddenly took two steps forward. The sound of shackles was even more ear-piercing in the quiet room as if they were piercing straight into people's hearts, which made the two of them turn back immediately. "Don't move, what do you want to do!?"

"Tell your captain that I want to see him," Hawk repeated this sentence. "If he can't see me tonight, he will regret it."

His tone was particularly firm as if something big would happen if she didn't send this news to him.

"Captain seems to be particularly concerned about him. Is there something wrong with him? Don't be delayed because of us," one of them whispered, his heart wavering.

After hesitating for a while, they decided to call Captain and tell him what Hawk had said. In less than 15 minutes, Captain immediately appeared in the room where Hawk was imprisoned.

"Where is he?"

"Inside."

Captain patted the police officer on the shoulder. "Well done."

The two of them looked at each other and touched their noses in confusion. "Fortunately, I said it..."

After Captain entered, Hawk was sitting by the bed. There was nothing in the room except for a bed. There was no other place for him to sit except this space.

Seeing him come in, Hawk's lips curled into an evil smile, as if they were old friends. "You're here."

"What do you want to say? Just say it." Captain had been interrogating Hawk for half a month and he also understood that this man was cunning by nature. He had been at odds with the police for many years, and any means were transparent and useless in front of him. Unless he wanted to say it himself, no method could force him to say it.

Therefore, since he had asked someone to call him over tonight, he must have thought it through. There was no need to talk nonsense.

"Don't you want to know everything about the smuggling? I'll tell you." Hawk raised his hand and brushed off the dust on the trouser leg. When he straightened up, the smile no longer existed. "All of it." Just when Captain was thinking about the authenticity of his words, Hawk had begun to tell him everything in the past.

Before he had time to get to the bottom of it, Captain turned on the recording pen and miniature camera he carried with him, recording his "crime confession".

"Why did you tell me?"

It seemed that such words should not have appeared between the two of them.

This time, Hawk put away his cynical smile and revealed a smile that truly belonged to him. It was very subtle and indescribable.

As time went by, only the sound of their breathing could be heard.

Just when Captain thought that he wouldn't get an answer, he heard him say...

"Because I want to change my life."
