Chapter 1039 She Forgot Who He Is

These words were like a bolt from the blue, striking fiercely at Huston's heart.

For a few seconds, his mind went blank, and he couldn't hear anything. Everything seemed to have disappeared. He could only see her calm and indifferent eyes.

She could only shake her head. "I don't know."

This made Kevin frown. He pulled Mabel over and placed his last bit of hope on her. "What about her? Do you know her?"

When Evelyn woke up, she saw different people bustling around her. She didn't know what was wrong with her, but she felt very uncomfortable all over, especially the one on her back. There were so many bandages wrapped around it, and she couldn't move at all.

She had a vague feeling that she must have been seriously injured, otherwise, she wouldn't have ended up like this.

"Miss Shelton, please don't get out of bed or move. You're very weak now, so you must be careful," the nurse hurriedly reminded her when she saw that she was always trying to move.

With an oxygen machine, Evelyn found it hard to speak. "What's wrong with me?"
