Chapter 1025 Why Are You Here?

With a pistol in hand, Huston rushed straight into the forest. He bent down and walked very lightly toward the middle of the mountain. The deeper he went, the more unreal everything he saw became. His eyes were filled with white fog, which covered his body and made it less than 20 meters for him to see clearly.

For a mountainous terrain with complex topography, this is not a good thing, it is even worse than pouring rain.

Huston was acting on his own. He was not wearing any instruments or communication devices, and he judged everything based on his senses and intuition.

Along the way, more than half of his clothes were wet. Most of the time, he walked against thick trees. On the one hand, he could cover himself better, and on the other hand, he could look for references. About ten minutes later, he heard the sound of running water. He was close to the river.

Sensing this message, Huston loaded the gun and slowed down his pace. He looked around vigilantly, not letting go of a single sound. Even if leaves moved, it would attract his absolute attention.

The people in actual combat were always particularly sensitive to the changes in their surroundings. He was no exception. When he walked to the center of the forest, the atmosphere around him suddenly changed. It was very quiet. Huston turned around and leaned against a thick branch. He picked up a thumb-sized stone from under his feet and threw it into the green grass more than a meter ahead. "Whoosh."

"Dong!"

Two soft sounds rang in his ears. He was very familiar with this voice. It was the unique sound of a silencer pistol. Even if he heard it 10,000 times, he would not make a mistake. There was someone in the grass!

As Huston took advantage of the position to cover his body, his eyes were fixed on the movement. Looking at the direction and size, he estimated that it should only be enough for two people to hide. He quietly moved in that direction. Even if he used his fastest speed, it would still take him two seconds to flash from one tree to the other.

He took a deep breath and strode over.

The moment he left the tree trunk, the dirt under his feet exploded from the impact of the huge bullet. The mud even splashed on his trousers. Any later, his leg bones would have been penetrated. Huston's gaze instantly sharpened. The distance between them was enough, and he only had eight bullets in his hand. Without hesitation, he raised his pistol and fired two shots at the bushes. It was expected that he would miss, but he would force the other party out. Once the target was exposed, he would never be able to escape again.

Sure enough, in the next second, a man rolled out of the grass, and the man rolled directly behind a big stone. Unfortunately, except for the main parts, the stone could not cover his whole body. It was the corner of the black clothes that made Huston stop pulling the trigger.

"Who?!" he asked in a low voice.

When the latter heard his voice, he was stunned at first, and then half of his body was exposed. When he saw him standing alone behind the tree, he couldn't help but be shocked. "Why are you here?!" When they met each other's eyes, they heaved a sigh of relief. Then, they became nervous again, especially Captain. What he hated the most was to see Huston in this forest.

There was no time to talk or investigate the reason. The two of them immediately met up. One of them hid behind a tree, and the big man, who was over six feet tall, did not make a sound at all. "Take this." Captain took out a long gun from the back pocket and threw it at his feet. "There are 15 bullets in it. I don't have enough magazines on me. You should use it sparingly."

Huston immediately picked up the gun and placed it behind his back. "OK."

"How's the situation up there?"

"Hawk is cunning. He took Evelyn and escaped, but we didn't find any traces at the scene. They must be alive." He chased all the way upstream and fought with several people from Yazton. His arm was scratched by stray bullets, but fortunately, it was not serious. "Did you put on your vest?"

Seeing that his left hand was trembling slightly and the expression in his eyes darkened, Huston took a deep breath and looked away. He continued to observe his surroundings. "I've worn it."
