Evelyn's period came very suddenly. She had always had a problem with her period. This time, she was trapped in this wet and hot place, which was even more unbearable.

Although she took a cold shower every day as much as possible, there were no bath supplies. As time went by, her hair became dry, and her body gave off an indescribable smell, like the mud at the bottom of the river.

She remembered that she had thrown away the mineral water bottle in a panic. She didn't know where it had floated to. It had been three days, and no one should have found it. Otherwise, how could there be no movement at all? Or maybe the bottle didn't float out at all but was stuck somewhere.

Evelyn came back to her senses. She picked up the bowl in front of her, took two bites, and simply fried cabbage and noodle soup. She had no appetite. "Nothing."

Hawk stopped talking and just looked at her with a deeper gaze. This man had always been elusive, so Evelyn decided not to figure him out.

After lunch, it was the hottest time of the afternoon. The humidity in the forest was strong, and there were water droplets in the steaming air, which made people feel sticky and suffocated.

Evelyn sat by the bed and kept fanning herself with the wooden board in her hand, while the man lying on the sofa next to her closed his eyes to rest.

She couldn't help but ask curiously, "Aren't you hot?"

"I'm used to it."

"That's true." After staying here for so long, he must have gotten used to it.

However, this person had made so much money that he could build villas wherever he wanted. His value was no less than that of Huston, but he could only live such a busy life. She did not know what he wanted.

"Hawk." Evelyn put her arms around her knees to relieve the pain in her abdomen. She lowered her voice and said, "Have you ever planned to let me go one day?"

In the past few days, their relationship had been relatively peaceful. She didn't know if it was because of her period, but this man had never touched her again. She guessed that he was afraid of bad luck. Hearing this, the man suddenly opened his eyes. He slowly turned his head and his sharp gaze fell on her face. There was still a cold smile on his lips. "You're very bold. How dare you ask such a question." He had never seen a hostage dare to talk to him so indifferently, and the content was so sensitive.

Evelyn didn't expect that, but recently, she had always felt that this man wouldn't hurt her.

She looked down at the cup at her feet, which had turned yellow. When she first came here, it was still white. She muttered, "If you let me go, maybe those people won't look for you anymore. In this way, you can escape unscathed."

Hawk seemed to have heard a joke. "You should know better than me what kind of person Huston is. I've imprisoned you for so long, he won't let it go."

Seeing that he didn't care at all, Evelyn came up with a bold idea. She clenched her fists and asked tentatively, "What if I help you?"

"Help me?" The man narrowed his eyes and sat up straight. "How can you help me?"

"I can beg him not to pursue the matter and say that you didn't hurt me."
