Death Wolf Chapter 76 (Book 2)

She reaches the big tree, breathing heavily. The images of Silas’s condition, flashing in front of her eyes.

As she literally screams at it, not feeling scared for the first time.

“What the fuc* do you want bast***! I have had enough of you!”

Silence. Nothing.

Clenching her fists, she steps closer. Tears of frustration at the brink.

“What is your fuc*ing problem huh? You took my mother from me! You destroyed my family!”

“And now that I finally found a reason to be happy! Now that I found my mate! You are even taking him away!”

“Tell me dammit”

“Come out!!”

“Tell me!!!!”

Approaching the trees broad bark she screams while kicking it. Not caring of hurting her foot.

She continues for next few minutes. To only stop.

Nodding to herself.

“Fine. You won’t answer that easily huh? I will fuc*ing end your very useless existence today!”

“I will burn you to hell you basta**!”

Turning around, she picks up the can of oil. Circling around the tree emptying it. Throwing aside the empty can.

She pulls out the box of matchstick from her pocket.

“You want to kill them huh? I will end your very existence!”

Lightning the matchstick. She looks up at the big tree. All those she has lost because of it, the souls of innocents flashing in front of her eyes.

Gulping, she throws the matchstick on the oil, seeing it spreading around within seconds .

Huge flares of fire were rising and she steps back looking at them.

Her heart thudding in her chest as she saw clouds of smoke rising.

When suddenly all her hopes vanished.

A ray of lightning, lighted the entire forest. Followed by a thunder.

No…how is this possible.

Staggering back she looks up in disbelief. To see rain pouring down at a tremendous speed.

Falling on the riding flames. Ending the fire within minutes.

“No …how can it happen? The sky was clear…this….”

She whispers to herself in disbelief. Looking at the tree bark which looked burnt and dark now.

Feeling the aura changing. And those dark clouds enveloping her from around.

“Welcome my little Dove “

A heavy voice speaks and the hair on Alexandria’s skin rise up. Yet she tries to act brave. Gulping the lump caught in her throat.

“What…what do you want! Why are you hurting the ones I love!!!”

Silence.

There is no reply. But the aura surrounding her, told her. He was listening.

“They…they mean everything to me! Please…leave them. They don’t deserve this.”

“No one deserves pain. Yet we get it my little Dove.”

“No! I know you can stop it! You can save Silas. Please! I will give you anything in return!”

“Tell me. I promise to give it to you!”

She screams in desperation. Tears streaming down her eyes,when she feels the touch of fingers on her cheek. Like someone was caressing her.

Shuddering,she steps back. Afraid. Looking around to find no one.

“Shh calm down little dove. It’s just me.”

The voice speaks and Alexandria stills right there. Clenching her fists.

Afraid yet determined.

“What do you want! Tell me!”

She next feels a breeze of cold air, flowing through her hair. Displacing the dried leaves on the ground from their places.

“I want you”

The voice speaks as Alexandria felt the same touch on her lips this time. Her lips parted in shock and she stills. Clenching her fists, not moving back

“M…me?”

“Yes my little Dove you.”

“Pledge yourself to me. Free me of this curse of being locked inside this tree.”

“And I promise to save that mate of yours.”

“But- “

Alexandria felt the touch trail lower to her neck, where the mark of a mate remains. And her breathing becomes rugged.Her back arching.

“But you have to forget him.. you have to stop loving him . You have to come to me and offer yourself…. Willingly “

“I will save him but erase his memory of you. I need you to be mine my little dove.”

“Surrender yourself to me.”

Alexandria’s eyes widen. Can she really do it?

Can she save him by sacrificing herself?

“Wh-at about my mother? You used her to bring me here…you took her?”

The grip on her neck loosens and she finally takes a breath. Staggering back, falling down.

“You will find her, if you release me.”

Alexandria’s eyes widen? Will she really? But didn’t he said earlier she died.

Can she trust him.

“But you said she is dead. You lied to me! I can’t trust you!”

“Death is not always physical my little Dove. Look at me, I was dead yet alive for thousands of years.”

“Waiting for you”

Alexandria just stares at the tree bark blankly. Not knowing what to choose.

But no matter what. She knew that even if there was 0.00001 % of chance to save her loved ones.

She will do it without another thought.

“Fine. I agree to surrender to you.”

She declares and suddenly the rain stops falling. Making her shiver from the cold. Her lips quivering.

“Good girl. Now come to me my little Dove.”

Her heart thumps in her chest, tears falling down her eyes as she imagines her loved ones faces. Not knowing if she will ever see them again.

Taking small dreaded steps ,she approaches the tree.

Letting the dark clouds to envelope her more.

“Extent you hand and touch the tree little Dove.”

Lifting her hands, she sees her fingers trembling. As she entends it.

When suddenly she hears voice behind calling for her.

“Alexandria stop! No!!!”

She looks back over her shoulders to see everyone running towards her. Daniel, Volkan, Elora, Jason.

Looks of worry evident on their faces as they try to stop her.

“He is tricking you Alexandria! Don’t!”

Daniel says, looking at her in fear.

“We will stop him together Alexandria. You don’t need to do it!”

Elora screams in anxiousness.

To only have Alexandria to move her head in a no. There is no stopping to him. She knows.

Nothing can stop him, except her.

“My child! Please! I have lost her…I don’t want to loose you too!”

It was Volkan who pleads this time, rushing forward. When an imagining barriers lifts up, throwing him back from the periphery of the tree.

Stopping him from approaching.

“Noooo!!!”

Alexandria screams in fear. To only see everyone rush to Volkan. Pulling him back. Looking back at her.

“Alexandria please don’t! It’s a trick! “

“Come my little Dove. Your lover doesn’t has much time left.”

Passing them a small smile. She says goodbye with her eyes. Making Volkan to break down completely, seeing her do exactly what Thora did.

“Nooooooooo! Pleaseeee!!! Stoppppp!”

“I am sorry everyone.”

Was all that Alexandria says, turning back in front and placing her palms on the dark burned tree bark.

“Now repeat after me”

“I Alexandria. The reincarnation of Goddess Selene release you, Than from the curse of death.”

“And surrender my soul and body to you, entirely in every true sense.”

Taking a deep breath, Alexandria focuses on the tree bark. Tightening her grip on it. Speaking lowly.

Ignoring the screaming behind. Begging her to stop.

A bright light emerges from her palms, spreading up the entire tree slowly.

She doesn’t pull back, feeling something leaving or rather pulling on her energy. And she lets it.

The light continues to spread till it covered the entire tree and next she knows it stops.

The energy was going somewhere, but it wasn’t visible. Till she feels something rising inside her, her hand shaking. And she holds her right hand’s wrist with other. Steading it.

“Aghhhhhh “

She screams. Putting in her everything and next.

*Bang!*

A blast of white lights blinds everyone, throwing them back under the force. Alexandria herself found her legs weakening,and she falls down near the bark of the tree.

Breathing heavily.

Her mind numb as she looks up to see the bark of the tree cracking. Opening up.

When suddenly, the light around her vanishes. Followed by a deadly darkness that enveloped everything.

The cracking of the tree bark stops finally, and the wooden structure of the hollow bark falls down to leave everyone stunned.

A petite figure falls down from it, and Alexandria rushes to catch it.

To only see a women.

With long dark hair covering her face, body thin as a stick and colour pale.

Moving aside the hair, Alexandria’s heart stops.When the women’s features become evident.

And her entire body stills, numb to interpret anything.

Her eyes immediately move down to the slow rising and falling of the women’s chest and a tear falls down her eyes.

Her happiness finding no limits.

“Thoooraaaaaaaaaa!!!!””

A painful scream erupts in the forest and Alexander pulls the body closer to her, looking up to see.

Volkan rush forward, struggling to walk with the stick.

His eyes set on Thora’s pale face and he falls down on his knees.

Crying hysterically.

Kissing her face all over. He continues to cry. Holding her numb fingers, to k**s and each and every inch of her skin.

“My…Thora…my love….I am sorry….I am so sorry… please forgive me….”

Tears were leaving Alexandria’s eyes seeing her father like this. And as she looked up, she sees Daniel standing there.

Looking at Thora with a face morphed in pain and longing. Tears falling down his eyes.

His eyes met Alexandria’s teary yet smiling ones.

And next he opens his arms.

To have her rush in them. Kissing her forehead.

“Thank you my daughter…thank you. You did the impossible.”

However the happiness was short lived as the aura around them darkness again. Volkan clenches Thora to his chest and Elora and Jason stand in his defence but all invain.

“What a happy reunion. But I am afraid everything has a cost.”

Everyone stills,as they hear a voice coming towards them from a distance. The ground going dark, to be coloured in black.

“A pledge is a pledge my Little Dove”

And next they know, a dark pull drags Alexandria towards the darkness. Holding her in place. Paralysing her limbs.

“No daughter!”

Daniel screams along with everyone else. To only have a sharp pain to hit everyone’s head.

Making them fall down, holding their heads and screaming.

“Welcome home.”

The voice says, coming closer. And everyone stills seeing the silhouette of a man walking towards them with darkness surrounding him.

Each step he took, coloured the floor in darkness.

A full army of wolves. The bloodhounds with red eyes. Growled behind him,as if celebrating his release. Bowing behind him.

Welcoming their king.

Stepping into the light , he lets his face known.

And the beauty of the man, deceived everyone for a second.

With eyes dark as coal , black hair as night and face pale as ice. He was a beautiful specimen or rather a beautiful beast indeed.

His thin lips pulled up in a smirk as he stops in front of Alexandria’s paralysed form.

Crouching down to her level,seeing her widened grey eyes already fixed at him.

Moving his ancient rings laden , cold numb fingers towards her. He gently caresses her cheek with his knuckles to tilt his face to a side.

Assessing her beautiful face with narrowed eyes to slightly nod to himself.

” Aren’t you a pretty little thing my little dove?”

She tries to moves to thrash. But was helpless in front of his power. Not able to move even a single muscle in her body, feeling helpless.

“But aren’t all pretty things killed?

His fingers trail lower to grab her neck. Pulling her up ,he makes her take deep breaths.

To only smile.

“Not if they are claimed by a beast already.”

And next she knows, with a movement of his wrist. He tilts her slender neck to a side, to only latch his teeth into her neck.

Marking her as his.

Binding her soul and wolf to his.

A painful cry leaves her lips, making the birds to fly and the bloodhounds to growl in victory of their king choosing his queen.

But he doesn’t stop .

Sucking deeper he made sure to have her soul and body remember only one touch and name.

And that was his.
