Death Wolf Chapter 50

I look up through my teary vision to see her staring down at me.

Her eyes flickering between white and her normal brown’s.Indicating that she was struggling for control.

“Th..ora?”

I ask looking up at her. To only hear her voice softly plead me.

“R..un… Volk…an…I… can’t contr….ol”

But how could I ? How can I let the death wolf take over her soul like this. Getting up, I look into her flickering eyes to only hold her face in my palm.

“No…no…..run…Volkan…go…awa..y!!

She exclaims in panic while I softly stare at her.Caressing her skin with my thumb.

“I won’t leave you Thora. You will be fine.”

Tears fall down her eyes as she clenches her fist. Moving her head in a no.

“I…I can’t control it…it will kill ev..eryone… please go…leave…me”

“Shhhh”

I say placing my finger on her lips to silence her. Her lips quivering under it.

Get me the strongest dose.

I mindlink Jason , as my eyes remain fixed on Thora’s.

“It’s… coming…back… Volkan…gooooo!!!!”

She literally screams in panic, her eyes again flickering to White’s. But I don’t let her go.

“Shhh calm down. You will be fine. I am here.”

I say moving my one hands lower, behind her neck. To pull her to my chest.

She thrashes, warning me again. While I look back at Jason and nod. He approaches slowly, to give me the injection.

“Volkan’s…go .. please…”

“Shhh it’s fine.”

I say pushing in the injection on her neck to only make her go still. Her hands on my chest, clench my collar in their grip as her back arches.

I move back, keeping my grip on her waist to see those brown teary eyes looking back at me with pain and agony.

Her neck moves back and her back arches as her eyes go back to White’s.

And before I know, I am pushed back on the wall with so much force that my head throbs with a sharp pain and my breath got caught for a second.

“Grrrrrrrrrr y..oouuuuu betray..errr !!!! Wh…at…did….yo….u….give……her!!!”

The voice speaks, coming closer to me. Nearly growling at my face and choking me. I smirk seeing those white pupils looking at me dangerously.

“I will….die .. before…I let you take my Thora from me.”

Another grunt echoes in the silent cell. The grip on my neck tightening as the death wolf speaks.

“She ..is mine!…..her body is mine!!!! I have waited for her for yearssss yo .u…bitc*!!!!”

“She will never be yours…you are…a mon…ster!”

The voice growls at me, barring teeth. And I feel the grip on my neck loosening.

The thing is working.

“Mine! She is mine! Mine! Mine!”

The voice almost goes crazy. To only stagger back. Death Wolf’s control on her fading. Her eyes again flicker , and she was going to fall back.

When I place my hands on her waist. Steading her.

Her body goes limp in my arms, as I hold her. Looking at the creases on her face, smoothing to give way to her serene features.

Silence extends in the room as no one says anything.

To only have Jason break the ice.

“It’s impossible to get her back Alpha. Her wolf was stopping death wolf from controlling her mind.”

“But now, when her wolf is dead.”

“Her human body is nothing but a puppet for the death wolf.”

It’s true. I don’t know how to refute it. We were fools, weakening her wolf with the bane, when it was the only thing protecting her innocence.

It was our mistakes, that made her loose it. We were so wrong in it.

But no matter what,I won’t let her leave.

I won’t let the wolf take her to the mysterious forest.

Picking her up , I take her to my room. To place her down on the bed. Asking the staff to get the bandages and gauzes. Removing her of the bloody flimsy clothes, I stare at her.

A sharp pain hitting my chest.

So much hatred, so much inhumanity? Why ? Why did someone did this to her.

How dare someone touched her without my permission.

How dare they!

My b***d boils, as I cover her up with the comforter and storm out of the room.

“Alpha we need to restrain her. We don’t know how long the dose will work “

I nod. Looking back at her angelic self , sleeping peacefully in my bed.

“I know.”

Looking back at him, I come to business.

“Did you found out who it was?”

“No Alpha. I am afraid the attacker covered it’s track well. The maid that was found dead may be the one. But we don’t know if she was the only one.”

“She can’t be alone. There was someone with her.”

I say with my hands folded behind me. Why? Why would someone do this?

If the maid was killed by the death wolf …where was the other person?

“Is anyone else missing from the pack?”

I ask to only have him go silent

“I will check Alpha”

And with this he leaves. To only have me turn around and approach Thora. I take out the metal chains and lock them on her wrist, tying them on either side of the bed post.

Her thin wrists, too small for the locks and I couldn’t help feel hatred for myself.

How can I do this to her?

I never deserved her.

Settling myself on the bed beside her, I pull her to myself.

Her cold body flushing against my warm ones.

As I stared at her face that has been scarred.

She was beautiful , despite it.

And I couldn’t help lower myself and land my warm lips on her cold ones. Her body still, not reacting.

I pull back, feeling a heaviness in my chesd.

And a tear drop falls down my eyes.

“I am sorry Thora. Please forgive me… please…”

Placing my forehead against hers, I was lost in her thoughts.

The images of me hurting her time and again resurfacing.

How…how can I?

I did it in front of her….I accepted Charlotte…..I slept with her

How would she have felt about it? You killed her slowly Volkan…you did it!

Charlotte even got her whipped…she was tied to a post…whipped and thrown out of the back.

You call her weak? She has endured so much….yet she still fights for control.

She is strong…way strong than you can ever be.

Where is she?

Realisation strikes like Thunder and I freeze in my spot. She is not here…. could it be that she did this to Thora?

I haven’t been touching her…let alone sleeping with her and giving her attention.

My thoughts are interrupted by Jason.

Alpha! I have a bad news!

I gulp getting ready for it.

What’s it?

The Council members are here Volkan. They want to meet you.

I gulp….why are they suddenly here.

No! This can’t be happening. They can’t know….never. I have to hide her!

What? How the hell did they came to know?

His answer making my eyes to widen.

“She got them here Alpha.”

And that’s when the door opens and I still looking at the elders standing outside the door.

I get up , gulping.

“El…ders?”

I say, but there eyes were not fixed on me, instead behind me.

“What a surprise. I wasn’t informed you were visiting?”

They all step inside,ignoring my words and approaching Thora from all sides,staring at her.

“What are yo-“

One of them moves Thora’s neck to a side and my heart stops right there.

They nod among themselves,to only speak with smirks on their lips.

“She is the one. We got her.Thank you our Queen”

And that’s when I look at the entrance to see Charlotte enter. A victorious smile on her lips.

She nods at the elders in acknowledgement. To settle her eyes on me. Her next words making me burn in fury.

“You should thank your King here for finding the girl.”

“He found her”
