"Did you see her?" The teacher asked Asher for the umpteenth time that evening. They had all gone on a hunting spree due to Amery's absence from the camp grounds. She had been missing for over twenty four hours now and nobody has been able to pinpoint her exact location or whereabouts. At first, they had thought that she ran back to camp but they got back to find out that she never came back at all and that's when everyone, especially Asher began to panic.

"No." Asher answered flatly. His tone clouded with anger and worry.

Maybe he had been wrong to approach the situation the way he did. If he hadn't gone to reveal the truth to Amery then she probably wouldn't have run away. Everything was happening right now because of him and he couldn't help but blame himself for it as well. He had been so caught up with trying to outdo his brothers that he had somehow managed to put Amery in between the mix of his hate and anger towards them.

He couldn't help but think that It was all his fault. He shouldn't have done what he did. If something bad happens to her then he wouldn't be able to forgive himself.

"Well keep looking." The teacher instructed all of them in a firm voice. "She might still be around here somewhere. We'll try to see if we can involve the authorities in the search as well. And someone should contact her parents if they can. We have to find her." He walked away leaving Asher to his thoughts and guilt.

The whole camp had gone haywire due to the search as everyone was traveling in groups in a frantic search for Amery.

No one had been able to sleep properly because she was nowhere to be found. Levi had been out for the greater part of the night and no one had seen him since then.

"What did you do to her?" He heard the familiar voice of Natasha from behind him and turned to face her.

He wasn't ready to face this drama but it seems as if she wouldn't let it go if he doesn't do anything about it to put her in her place.

"Why would you assume that I did something?" He tried to ward off her questions but Natasha had always been smart and wasn't someone to give up easily. Especially now that she had him In her books.

"You think that I'm stupid?" She asked with an arched brow. "You have always been obsessed with trying to make Amery yours and will stop at nothing to get her for yourself so I am one hundred percent sure that you did something to her. You are the monster between the two of us anyways."

"You don't think it's strange that she stood you up today and now all of a sudden, she's missing?" She yelled at him.

"Since when did you care about Amery? You have done a whole lot of things to her as well so why are you suddenly trying to act like a saint?"

"Because unlike you, I'm not a beast that will result to killing anyone." She deadpanned. "She's missing and I know that you have a hand in it. I warned her to stay away from you but she didn't listen. That's her loss anyways. I don't care about Amery, not one little bit but I do care about others and if don't find her, then I'm telling everyone in camp that you're involved and no, I'm not bluffing."

Asher would've laughed it off but he was actually upset and serious at the same time. "And how do you intend to do that? Last time I checked, I wasn't seen last with her."

"But you snuck out of camp didn't you? I saw you myself so you'll just have to explain to the teachers and the rest of us how you made your way past security after lights out then." Natasha threatened. She brushed past him and made her way to join the others. Asher fisted his hands beside him. He couldn't help the fact that things were slowly spiralling out of control. On the one hand it was Amery and on the other, it was Natasha. Damn!

Levi arrived at the exact same time and he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of relief. "Did you find her?" He asked desperately.

"No I didn't. I couldn't even get a trail of her scent. I tried to connect with her wolf but there was nothing. No chain of thoughts, no sign of life, NOTHING! It's like she's not even alive or breathing." Levi informed him.

"We have to look for ourselves. I've sent a word to Quincy so he will be joining us soon."

Asher nodded at his brother's request.

"I know that we don't get along in a whole lot of things but I want us to put our differences aside, even if it's just for tonight until we find her. Agreed?" He insisted and Asher nodded vehemently. They made their way out of camp and wandered off into the woods together.

Halfway through, they heard ruffling of leaves in a nearby tree and a wolf emerged. It shifted in front of them to reveal Quincy who looked out of breath a though he had ran a marathon.

"Just three days." Quincy began. "It's not even up a week since you guys left for this trip and now Amery is missing?" He lectured them with a groan. His face was tightened in a deep frown as he stared at them in utter frustration. "Why am I not even surprised? I'm pretty sure that you all did something to make her run away didn't you?" He accused but neither of them said a single word.

"Maybe if Asher didn't try to prove that he was better than all of us, we probably wouldn't be here by now." Levi primped and Asher whipped his head towards his direction.

"You're blaming me?" He chimed. "Which one of us tried to poison her with Sieggaria leaves in order to kill her?"

"You tried to poison her?" Quincy could not believe his ears at the new found revelation. Here he was thinking that his brothers had finally learnt their lessons but no, they were still bent on the curse and bet on who would claim Amery.

"If I hadn't stopped her when I did, you wouldn't killed her." Asher growled in anger, his eyes brazen as he glared at Levi.

"I wouldn't have-" Levi said through gritted teeth.

"Oh really. So what were you trying to do then? Watch her die and pretend to be the hero!"

"Enough! Both of you." Quincy yelled in rage. "Fighting has gotten us nowhere and it still doesn't change the fact that Amery is missing. If I'm feeling this frustrated then I can only imagine what she must be going through right now. Amery tried to put up with us but we didn't make it easier for her and now she's In this mess because of both of you."

"I always knew that this bet would end up like this but none of you agreed to let it go and now we're stuck with no way to trace her."

They both looked away at Quincy's outburst. "I can't deal with either of you right now. We have to find her and fast. If word gets out to her parents and the authorities decides to get involved, we would all be in big trouble. I don't think that neither of you know the gravity of the situation at hand. Our identity is at stake at this point."

"So where do we look?" Asher questioned. "She could be anywhere and neither of us can pick up her scent or anything."

"Of course you can't." An unfamiliar voice spoke up and they all turned towards the direction of the middle aged woman who was staring at them.

"We have finally met." She said with a sad smile.

"I'm sorry but who are you?" Levi questioned when his wolf prowled inside him in an unsettled manner.

"Gaia." She said with a solemn face. "And you are the three cursed Alpha princes aren't you? I have felt your presence here in these woods and I also had the liberty and privilege of meeting your mate."

"You met Amery?" Asher stomped towards her. "Where is she? Did you take her? Did you do something to hurt her? I swear that if you lay a finger on her then-"

"You'll what?" She asked, her voice calm and relaxed. "Would you kill me? I haven't done anything to your mate. If there's anyone who has done something to her then it's all three of you. You are the ones whose destiny are intertwined with each other and not me and so, her disappearance is a collective effort."

Quincy scoffed in disbelief. "I can't believe I'm getting dragged into this when I have the slightest idea of what happened."

"Do you know where Amery is?" Levi asked but she shook her head negatively.

"That I do not know. I am only here to tell you that the three of you are weighing on her destiny and if you do not stop, it'll only get worse." She warned.

"Do you even know why you are all cursed?" She questioned but none of them gave a reply.

"It is because all three of you were not meant to be." She revealed and their eyes widened in shock. "Your mother was not supposed to give birth to all three of you. Your mother wasn't supposed to give birth at all. But she defiled fate, tried to tinker with darkness that's beyond her understanding, and the repercussions for that was her life. She died because she couldn't bear to lose either one of you. And that's why you're all saddled with the burden of marking your mate because history demands balance, it was supposed to record the birth of one Alpha prince and not three. You see, every supernatural action has its consequences and fate demands balance. Let's just say the moon goddess isn't exactly on your side and your mother's sacrifice was only a temporary relief to the fact that only one prince must live. The mate bond was specifically designed to erase two brothers. Permanently."

All three of them stared at the woman as though she had grown another pair of head.

"But fate never quite expected that you'd be mated to a girl like Amery, a special kind of girl, and that right there is your key - if you all don't manage to kill her by then. She's powerful but she needs all three of you and until you all can learn to help her and work together, it'll only end In chaos. Not just for her, but all three of you. There are darker forces in our world, Alphas - forces that would rain fire and brimstone down till Amery is reduced to nothing but another weapon in their army, till she's broken, defiled and used. Then dead. Wake up, brothers." She whispered at last.

"That is all I have to say. I hope you find her. Good day Alpha princes." She inclined her head and disappeared into the bushes leaving them speechless and at a loss of words. They all didn't say anything but were probably thinking about the same thing. How is it that no one told them anything about this? Why did they keep this secret from them?
