"The school picked out the best location for us to have our trip." Amery pointed out, her eyes taking in the entire scenery in front of her. "I never knew that this place had a waterfall cave. Everything just feels so surreal. It's like a fairytale. How did you even find this place?" She questioned, eyes fixed on him as she spoke.

Levi watched her bask in excitement. He found it alluring that she was taken in with this place. He wasn't surprised though. That has always been Amery's nature ever since he got to know her. She always takes pride in the littlest things. He had realized that it wasn't that hard to impress her because she falls in love with everything. A rare trait of hers that he was beginning to love.

Too bad everything was going to end tonight.

"Levi?" She beckoned and he was forced to look at her. He didn't know why he was suddenly feeling bad about this. He had made up his mind before bringing her here so why did it feel like he was suddenly doing the wrong thing?

"I'm asking how you found this place." She asked and he blinked to gather his thoughts. His brain had suddenly gone blank. A part of him was pushing to go through with this but the other part of him was trying to call it quits. It was a constant battle between himself, his wolf and his heart. They were all speaking different languages and he found it hard to comprehend any of them.

"I stumbled upon it when I left the camp site last night." He opened up to her.

"You didn't sleep in camp? I thought that you went back to your cabin after-" she paused when she realized what she wanted to say. She wouldn't dare say anything to hurt him or make him remember what happened to him last night.

"It's okay. You can talk about it." He stood up from his seat and made his way towards the waterfall. His eyes fixed on the gushing water that mixed with that of the main river. "It doesn't hurt as much as it did before."

Amery stood up from her seat and joined him at the edge of the cave where he stood.

"I believe she's watching you and she's proud of you Levi" Amery uttered and he glanced at her direction. "I meant your mother. She must have been so happy that she has you to look out for your siblings."

Levi didn't believe it. Not especially after what he saw in his nightmare. His mother was upset. She accused him of killing his brothers. She blamed him for what had happened to them. Those eyes that always looked at him with love stared at him with nothing but pain, hurt, anger and resentment. His mother wasn't proud of him anymore. She hated him and last night incident had proved it.

"I wish that she did." He mumbled to himself but loud enough for Amery to hear. "The reason I pushed you away last night was not because the s*x was bad Amery. In fact having s*x with you is one of the best things that I have ever done in my entire life. I know it sounds cringe doesn't it?"

She laughed but he didn't. Neither did he smile. He was being serious right now.

"It does but I get your point."

"I had a terrible nightmare about my mother attacking me because in her own words, I was responsible for the death of my brothers." He said truthfully. There was no point in hiding the truth anyways. Like it or not, she was going to die tonight and it doesn't matter if she knew the secret behind why they wanted her and why they all fought amongst themselves to keep her by their side.

"I'm sure it's just a nightmare Levi. You said it yourself that your mum is the sweetest person that you have ever known and there is no way someone like that would ever attack her son whom she loves very much."

"No." He shook her head. "She really meant it Amery. She told me herself that their blood would forever be on my hands. She didn't hide how much she hated me."

Amery made him face her. "It's just a nightmare there is no way that you will ever hurt your brothers. You love them so much and I have seen firsthand how much you care about them. Whoever appeared to you, is not your mother because the Levi I know, is a changed person."

"But I can hurt them Amery." He blurted out, catching her off guard. "Have you ever wondered why we all want you for ourselves? Have you ever stopped to think about it?"

"It's the mate bond between all three-"

"We are cursed Amery." He interrupted and her eyes widened in shock. "All three of us are cursed and one of us has to claim you and mark you as theirs which would result to the death of the other two, permanently."

Amery couldn't move, neither could she say anything. She was numb and utterly speechless. "We were not meant to be born as brothers and as long as we're together, we would keep on fighting for you until you pick one of us. That's how it was always destined to be and that's why I have been trying to kill you all those while." He confessed sadly.

"I was scared of losing my brothers but with time, I fell in love with you Amery. I couldn't do it. I can't find myself attempting to kill you anymore." Levi said in reference to the poison that he had brought to kill her. He was supposed to end her life but right now, he wasn't sure anymore if it were the right thing to do. Amery on the other hand felt bad for Levi.

She knew that it must have taken him a whole lot of courage to say this to her. If she could be feeling this way then she could only imagine the torment of pain that he was going through. She was devastated on his behalf. Now it all started to make sense as to why he had always wanted to kill her.

"I told you this before and I'll tell you again. We are going to fix it together." She held his hands for comfort. "I know that there is a way to break the curse and we are going to find it."

"I don't think that there's a way."

"Then I'll find a way." She cupped his face with her hands. "I love you Levi. I have loved you ever since and if there's anything that I can do to help you then I will."

"I am no saint Amery."

"I know but then again, you are a good person. I am not going to dispute that fact. When you first brought me here, I was scared because I thought that you wanted to do something to me but I was wrong about that and your words tonight had shown me that you have indeed changed for the better. Thank you for opening up to me because it really meant a lot to know that you trust me to share your secrets with me."

Levi looked away. The more she spoke and praised him about change, loving and trusting him, the more he found himself doubting every part of his plan. Amery was making his decision a whole lot difficult and it confused him.

"Let's just have dinner okay? We'll talk about this later" She dragged him towards the table and made him sit on his chair before proceeding to do the same. She raised up her glass to offer a toast as he watched her keenly, wondering if he was doing the right thing or not. He felt restless. He wanted this didn't he? but why did it feel like he didn't want it anymore?

He fought with himself on stopping her or letting her go through with it.

"Cheers to Levi for being absolutely amazing tonight." She clinked their glasses together and slowly brought the glass to her mouth. Levi contemplated on stopping her. He has had it. He couldn't do it anymore. He wouldn't be able to bear it. She was his mate for goodness sake. His conscience would not accept it if he killed her. He has to put a stop to this madness.

"Amery, wait!" Levi blurted out but just before she could drink it, someone knocked the glass over and it tumbled on the table, spilling out all the contents.

Amery was surprised to see Asher there. How did he find them? She had not seen him all morning and how on earth did he find out about this place? "Asher you-" she was saying when he interrupted her.

"And didn't I tell you to stay away from him!" He yelled angrily at her. "He brought you here because he wanted to kill you. Your drink was spiked and if you had drank it, you would've died dammit!!" Asher growled in anger as he dropped the bombshell while Amery struggled to understand what he meant by what he had just said.
