Claimed By My Three Alphas -
Chapter 132
AMERY
I groaned into the light and opened my eyes slowly. The rays of sun passed through them and I hid my face in my pillows to block the sun from shining directly into the room. I groaned when I realized that it wasn't working and turned to the other side. My body protested the sudden movements and at that very moment, I felt my head throbbing badly. Why does it hurt so much?
Yawning awake, I took in my surroundings and In my dazed eyes, I could tell that I wasn't in my bedroom in camp as I had expected. My eyes flew open and I was right. This isn't my bedroom. There were strange markings and carvings drawn on the wall which looked like it was built by cavemen. I could also see antlers and animal skin displayed on the wall as a form of decoration of some sort. The room looked cozy but a lot creepier and now that I was staring at it, I can't get it out of my head.
Wait a minute, whose room is this? Holy smokes in Wheels! How did I end up here? What am I doing here? Who are these people and what do they want from me? The last thing I remembered was rolling down the hill and hitting my head against a rock because Natasha had pushed me to my doom. But how then, did I end up in this strange place? I had thought that she had gone to fetch the teachers and that they had taken me to an emergency room to have me treated but I can't believe that she had left me to die and now, I think that I have been kidnapped by someone and brought to a strange place- the rest of my words caught up in my throat when I heard preceding footsteps.
I immediately fell to bed and pretended to be asleep as I thought of an escape plan in my head. I would have to figure out a way to summon Levi otherwise, they might kill me.
The footsteps got closer until I heard them clearly which indicated that the person was in the room with me. I felt a shadow fall on my sleeping statue and a few seconds later, it disappeared.
"I know that you're not asleep and that you've been awake for a while now." I heard the unfamiliar voice of a woman. "You can stop pretending now." She urged and I opened my eyes, biting down on my lips at the fact that I have been caught.
"How can you tell?" I asked, taking in the sight of the strange woman in front of me. She was dressed in clothes that looked like rags and on her feet were slippers. Her curly mass of hair was let loose and pinned in different places with a stylist hairpin that I had never seen before. She doesn't look civilized. If anything, she looked like those cavewomen that I normally watch on television.
Is it that they never evolved like we were taught in school? If that's the case then I think that I would be needing my tuition fees back because history has been told wrongly.
"I see that you have many questions." She smiled at me. "Your mind is going haywire at the moment. With the rate at which your thoughts are being processed right now, they might explode any minute from now." She said and my eyes widened in sheer horror. She laughed. "I was only joking but you should've seen your face." She approached a table and picked up different ingredients which she threw into a pot nearby. Why does this particular scene remind me of the time when Asher's maid had conspired to kill me back in their realm? The newfound knowledge came with dread and fear.
"I am simply making a herbal mix. I do not intend to kill you so you should relax." She said as though she was reading my mind. This just got a lot creepier.
"Who are you? I mean...what are you?" I quickly corrected myself. She turned to face me swiftly.
"But you know who and what I am Amery and that's because I brought you here." She answered but it only made me more confused.
"Who and what brought me here? Can you please speak a language that I can understand?" My voice went up a tone. I was frustrated and pissed. Natasha push me down a cliff. I am injured and stuck in the middle of somewhere that I do not know and this woman keeps on saying strange things.
"My name is Gaia and I am the same as you." She introduced herself and that's when I slowly started to understand.
"You're a wolf," I whispered in a low voice, stating the obvious.
She smiled at me knowingly. "That I am."
"But the tour guide..." I pointed into nothingness. "The tour guide said that it was a story and that you don't exist. He said so himself." I rambled continuously.
"That's because we chose to stay hidden. We have never coexisted with humans. Shouldn't you know that?"
I waved her off, completely ignoring her question. "I need to go back to camp Gaia. Everyone might be looking for me right now and I still have a game to finish. Thank you for helping me when I fell off that cliff. Thanks for saving me." I made to stand up but my head throbbed more and she stretched out a bottle towards me.
"Apply that substance to your forehead to stop the pain." She prescribed as I scrutinized the sealed bottle she held in her hands. "It's a good healing herb and I promise that you would feel much better after you do."
I reached out to take it and our hands brushed each other accidentally.
"I knew it." She exclaimed. "I knew that you are special. You have a very special wolf inside you that decides the fate of two worlds and two realms. Can I?" She asked to hold my hand and after contemplating for a while, I let her hold them. "What does that mean?" I proceeded to ask. Not knowing why I did though.
She shook her head slowly. "I see fear and a great conflict hovering around you Amery. You have met her but you don't want to accept her, why?" She asked no one in particular.
"You still haven't accepted the fact that you are not human, have you? You keep disputing the act that you are born of a different breed." She continued talking while I remained silent. "She's always going to come to you until you accept her. You keep on finding her but you run away because you think that you don't need her. You haven't bonded with her despite how many times she has shown herself to you."
She lets go of my hand. "You keep fighting it because you want to be what you're not but you can't fight it much longer though. Your destiny cannot be unlocked if you do not accept who you truly are and what you're supposed to be."
"I am human and I am not one of you," I stated firmly.
She took a few steps back "I hope that you can accept your true self sooner because there is a huge turbulence ahead of you. Something big is coming your way. Something great and more powerful than you have ever imagined. Something bigger than anything that you have ever fought and it is going to shatter a whole lot of things in your path. You are going to lose a lot of people you love and the sooner you find and connect with your core source and strength, the stronger you would be to face those challenges." She advised.
"And you could tell all that by reading my palm?" I asked with a raised brow.
"Believe it if you want to and don't believe it if you don't want to. I simply told you what I saw so the rest is up to you to decide. Although I am certain about one thing." She paused and turned to look at me. "My readings are never wrong and sooner or later they will begin to manifest for you to see them."
"You can leave now if you want to. I believe your clan of people are already looking for you." She said and I snapped back to reality. I can't believe that I have zoned out on her and what she said. Was she saying the truth or was this just a ploy on her end? But even if it was a ploy, what does she stand to gain from lying to me or telling me something wrong?
"Shoot!" I groaned when I realized that I haven't found the last piece of the treasure hunt because I was pushed by Natasha to die.
"Is this what you're looking for?" She raised a flag-like object for me to see and my lips broke out into an uncontrollable smile.
"Where did you...how did you?" I stuttered when she handed it over to me. It was it. It really was the last piece of treasure. I'm sure that everyone at camp must be going haywire trying to find it right now and here it was with me. "How did you find this?"
"I saw it in a nearby tree close to the place where I found you and I picked it up thinking that it may belong to you and that you might've dropped it or something after you fell." She explained to me. "It's yours isn't it?"
I held it to my chest. "It is now. Thank you so much, Gaia."
Gaia led me back to camp but left immediately after we both exchanged goodbyes. I arrived to find everyone still looking for the last piece.
"I found it!” I announced proudly, raising the flag for everyone to see. They all groaned and left angrily. I spotted Natasha and I could see the shock in her eyes when she saw me but she simply tried to Ignore. She must have thought that I was dead and wouldn't return. And to think that she didn't even try to find a teacher to come to my rescue. She didn't even make any attempt to help me which means that she really wanted me to die.
"I guess we have a winner." The teacher said, taking the flag. "Congratulations Amery Hunter. The cabin is yours for tonight and as promised, you can pick your guests now." He said and my face lit up like a Christmas tree when I realized that my plan was coming together nicely.
