Billionaire's Reborn Baby -
Chapter 638 Repentance (4)
Vincent had been waiting for this since the first day he had made out the plan.
Baron was locked in the cell on the other side of the dungeon. The guard hoisted him to his feet and threw him before Vincent.
Baron was injured and slipped into a coma. His eyes narrowed into slits when he fell on the ground, but he couldn't see who was before him.
The dungeon looked dark and forbidding, with candles on the walls casting swaying shadows.
Jennifer saw Baron and shouted at Vincent. "Take everything on me! Leave my son alone!"
Vincent looked coldly at her with red eyes. "Kneel and repent your sin.
Jennifer didn't move.
Rex took out a whip and gave Baron a hearty blow. Baron opened his eyes with a groan. He was about to speak when he saw Vincent, and then he saw Jennifer in the cell. He reached out and tried to grab Rex, "Let... let her go."
The tears streamed down Jessica's face when she heard Baron. She fell to her knees and kowtowed to Vincent. "Let him go, please. I'll do anything; it's all my fault."
Vincent tasted blood in his throat, and his eyes went scarlet. He gritted his teeth. "Confess the sins you have committed to my mothers."
He was restraining his wrath and the urge to strangle the two people in front of him. "I'll let you go if they forgive you," he said in a husky voice.
Jennifer thought.
"Don't hurt him. I will do anything. You can kill me if you want." Jennifer knelt on the ground and cried.
Vincent looked at them with an icy glaze. "What a loving mother."
he thought.
"Rex, stay here and watch. I want to hear her repenting. If she stops..." Vincent looked at Baron. Jennifer immediately folded her hands and began her confession. "I confess my sin..."
Vincent knew that it would not blunt his deep hatred for Jessica, but all he could do was to control the urge of killing the murderer of his biological mother, watching her kowtowed to him on her knees for her child.
Baron bit his lips and shouted hoarsely, "Don't do it, don't..."
Jennifer repented as she kowtowed. Soon, there was blood oozing out her forehead.
The mother and son were separated by the iron bars. It might be the closest time Baron was to his mother, but Jessica didn't even look at him. He knew that she wanted to protect him. However, she never asked him if he wanted the protection.
Baron thought.
Baron glared at Vincent, who was standing above them. "You better kill me right now; if I survive, I will definitely kill you," he said hatefully.
"I won't kill you," Vincent said indifferently, glancing at him.
He turned and walked away.
Rex threw Baron into the cell next to Jennifer's and put the key into his pocket before finishing Vincent's words.
"Mr. Vincent won't kill you, but he will make you wish you were dead."
Vincent walked out of the dungeon and met Zack at the door. He seemed to be waiting for his instructions.
"Go find the doctor. He promised me that he would treat you."
Zack touched the cold mask on his face. He spoke after a pause, "Mr. Vincent, please take care of Miss Emily." Vincent heard him out. "Don't worry about the wound on your face. I will find someone to cure you."
"No need to. Just tell her I'm dead." Zack lowered his head. "Otherwise, she will be very sad if she sees my face."
Vincent squinted at him. "And you don't think she will be sad when she hears your death?"
Zack was stunned for a moment. A teardrop welled up from his eyes under the mask.
"It's still better than... living with sadness every time she sees my face."
Vincent looked at him for a moment before walking away.
"If you say so."
