Beyond the Divorce by Third Blossom
Chapter 893 Simply Too Arrogant

I thought that this question seemed a bit tricky to answer.

In my understanding, my membership in the Beringer family was the result of Atlas's mediation, which was not explicitly stated.

Seeing that I didn't answer, Ardie smiled gently. "Are you thinking this is a result of Atlas's intervention?"

I felt a bit awkward and asked, "Isn't it?"

Unexpectedly, Ardie nodded confidently. "Yes, indeed, it is because of Atlas's influence. However, it was something agreed upon a long time ago."

"A long time ago?" I was even more surprised.

He drove slowly, and the night scene in Solaris was spectacular, with bustling streets and dazzling neon lights.

The passing neon lights reflected on Ardie's face, making him look more handsome.

In a warm tone, he continued, "We all advised him to move on and believed that even if he found you, the chances of you having changed were too high. After all, you must've gotten married and had children. It was impossible for you to be the Stella from before."

My heart skipped a beat and my eyes became a bit misty.

Yes. I did change, got married, and had a child. And he kept persistently searching for me, not knowing anything about my current life.

I didn't know how heartbroken he must have been at the moment he found out I was a married woman.

"Actually... I feel guilty toward him..." Tears slid down, and I choked up a bit. "He did so much, but I knew nothing."

"It's not your fault. I believe that if you weren't in this state, you wouldn't have made such a choice." Ardie comforted me generously.

"One time, Dad went to persuade him to let go of the past. He told Dad that no matter how you changed, whether you had a child or changed your appearance, he would keep you by his side. You two would never part again as long as you were alive."

"He would accept any outcome?" I asked bitterly.

"Yes, he said if you were married and

had a child, he would be like a brother always taking care of you and ensuring your happiness. If you were still single, he would marry you and grow old with you.

"He even said that if he found you one day, he would become Dad's son-in-law. He even jokingly asked Dad if he wanted that," Ardie said, and he chuckled a bit.

"At that time, Dad made it clear that

as long as Atlas found you, you would become his daughter and the Beringer family's house would be your home. Fortunately, he found you," Ardie said with a warm smile.

"I thought he did this because he was afraid my foundation was weak, and he paved the way for me with that," I said truthfully.

"Then you've misunderstood Atlas. He would never break his promise."

My heart was once again moved. I never thought I would hold such significance in his heart. The more felt this way, the more I hoped could remember the times we spent together. Otherwise, it would be too unfair to him.

Back at the Beringer family's place, Archie was still waiting for me.

Seeing us return, he asked, "Did you meet him?"

"Yes."

Then I explained the process of meeting Dominic to him, emphasizing the details of Bourdamun's construction.

Unexpectedly, Archie's interrogation was quite thorough this time. Because this was a rare opportunity for me, I detailed the entire process of taking over the construction of the new Bourdamun area. Also, I told him about the explosion incident at the groundbreaking ceremony this time.

After hearing it, he only said, "Absolutely audacious."

Just from his words, I deeply understood that he was my supporter in Solaris. I confided in him that there was still someone from the Terrell family disregarding the law.

He only urged me, insisting that the battle for Bourdamun must be fought brilliantly. That would be the real beginning. I fully understood the meaning behind Archie's words now.
