Chapter 83: The Alpha of Crimson Fangs

"I told you, I want the human for myself..."

"She is my destined mate... Not to mention that you mistreated her..." I say, trying to control myself.

How fucking dare he? It was a serious crime among werewolves to take another's mate. He can't find out that I've marked Penelope, nor that I have no intentions to accept their deal.

"I know, and it's my greatest regret, not knowing who she was, I could have prevented all of this. I know that you are still connected to her, the bond is not easily forgotten, I also know that you know that she makes you powerful," he says, moving closer to me.

"That's what first caught my attention. How you became powerful from one moment to the next without any sense. You changed after you met her. You chased her, you gave her your shirt in that disgusting restaurant, you were in her house..." he says, looking into my eyes, I see his madness.

"She was a pig, a disgusting human, it didn't seem logical, there was only one explanation. Part of you wanted to deny her, but you couldn't. She was your mate. A human with an Alpha, it was ridiculous."

"You followed me..." I say in a voice hoarse with anger.

"What the hell do you want with her?" I ask angrily.

I, on the other hand, would rather avoid all that," he says quietly as if he finally feels free to talk to someone about all this, his most secret plans.

"My father wants me to find my mate, of course, but I'd rather not enter the mate lottery" I growl, and he smiles even wider.

"She's a nasty mate... but I'll explain to you why I need her. It all happened in the past when the previous Crimson Fangs Alpha, Phineas, got his true mate. But just like you... she was human. Gradually, he became stronger, and he, like us, understood that it was because of her,".

"But the people in the pack found out, and they didn't accept that their Luna was of such a low species. He loved her, but the power began to consume him. He was blinded by it," he says.

"No... nobody can't escape the bond," I say in denial.

If we hadn't had that meeting in Belle Springs, I don't know when I would have seen Penelope again. I had so much hatred for going to the human town, I feared I might never have found her.

"We started helping other packs, and keep an eye on them. And I must say that Moonstone helped us a lot..." he adds.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Well, when we found out that you had adopted a human... you gave us the perfect scenario..." he says, sitting down in front of me, very proud of the whole story.

"You attacked us, Penelope was right..."

"We started attacking all the packs with our rogues soldiers to destabilize them...and Moonstone was our perfect guinea pig to show what can happen when you have a filthy human in the pack." "You manipulated everything! And you murdered several werewolves in the process!" I yell angrily as Marco looks at me in delight.

"And Moonstone fell completely, as did the other packs. We created the evil and gave them the solution. Isn't that perfect? Your fat mate figured it out... and it was even better!"

"You're all miserable bastards!" I scream, and he hits me and injects me with more wolfsbane. I feel dizzy again and full of anger.

"My father wants me to have Regina and kill your human... but I want your mate's power," he says and I scream.

"You will never have her!"

"Of course I will... she's special. I have a theory I want to test... that she can give power to any Alpha," he says convinced, and now I am at a loss.

How I wish I had all my strength to kill him right now, that Hunter was here to kill him and tear him to pieces.

"You don't...".

"I'll have my Luna, a stupid daughter of a beta... and hide the fat girl..." he says, and I cry in desperation.

I'm on the ground, bleeding. I had promised my warriors that I wouldn't let them hurt me... but I couldn't help it. My mate... my beautiful mate.

"It's her... Phineas' daughter. The human was pregnant, and the times match the age of the fat human..." he says, and I try to stand up, shaking with fear and hatred. "No... no..." I say shaking.

That's the explanation for her power, she's not a wolf... but she has Alpha blood". I remembered Linda... Penelope's mother. She must have run off with her baby... for who knows how long.
