Bernard’s fingers, mid–way in opening the lunchbox, halted

“Dear, that assistant took it upon herself to bring my lunch. She didn’t have my consent. Don’t get the wrong impression. I’ve already sacked her

Eleanor propped her check on one hand, looking at the flustered Bernard.

“You didn’t just kick her out because I was coming, did you?”

“No need to explain, I know what men are like when they re at work”

Bernard put down the lunchbox, wrapped his arm around Eleanor’s waist, and pulleder onto his lap

“Eleanor, I’m not like other men, you’re the only one for me, don’t make jokes like that

Eleanor slid off his lap and took a seat on the sofa next to him. She rested her check on one hand, observing Bernard eat slowly.

He’s a germophobe and quite an intense one But he’s never exhibited any signs of repulsion around her

Her husband truly loves her Eleanors heart swelled with affection, her gaze softening as she watched him

She was content to spend her life with him just like this, paying for divine blessings when she saw him finish eating, she moved to tady the lunchbox, but the man stopped her

He caught her hand, placed it in his own, and gazed at her with his beautiful eyes

“Darling don’t do this again Your hands are meant for sketching designs, not for cooking”
